Was just going through the list of Aston Martins , but couldn't find any DBS' listed in there !
And apparently , a new DB9 has just made its way in the county.

From what I ve seen, the website isnt too accurate. It just gives us a rough idea. Not all cars are listed here and as you pointed out, no DBS listed nor any SLS is listed. And as a friend pointed out, it says the F12 came in March while they actually came down late December.

Yes it isn't quite accurate.
A Holden Caprice, which is present in the country isn't listed on the site as well.

Couldn't even find details for my bike

So maybe they have gotten an access to limited details
Or maybe they haven't uploaded everything online considering that the data must be HUGE!!

Re: Data of Cars imported into India: Available online!

Did a look up on Veyron. however didn't find any mention of any import till date of actual veyron in India. Bit confusing cause there were i think one or 2 imported atleast for the launch? All the data shows is the scale models of Veyron imported? Am I missing here something?

Re: Data of Cars imported into India: Available online!

Some things I noticed last night -

Looks like Indian manufacturers are on a full swing when it comes to benchmarking - 3rd Ford Ka hatch imported so far.

125CC Scooter engine imported from Italy for R&D - Vespa ?

3 trucks imported from Japan. I'm guessing Mitsubishi-FUSO, since Daimler was to export them from the India plant

3 crew-cab pickups - VW Amarok, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger Wildtrak - imported for R&D. Either benchmarking for the Tata Xenon or Mahindra is planning to launch something. Just my guess.

Here's the interesting bit. An Aixam GTR Crossline has been imported. Should we be expecting a Tata Nano cross anytime soon ?

Attaching a pic for reference -

Is it just me or it looks similar to the Premier Rio ?

Not that exciting, but I guess there aren't too many armored cars around here in India. Also, never heard of Diplomats using armored vehicles in India. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The number of Chery cars imported is pretty high. Wondering if they'll be badged as Tatas.

Attaching pics for reference since these cars aren't common outside China

If the Axiam was indeed imported by Tata (and it is a BIG IF), it could have been used to benchmark it against the Nano for European markets..

Only one Veyron came here for the launch and it was on carnet. I'd say 99% of the Cars imported on carnet are missing from the database.
