Mobike suggested the following locations for the next drive meet: Srisailam/Nagarjunsagar/Medak Church Srisailam is over 200km South from Hyderabad and while you are heading out there, you will come across a place called Nizamabad, not to be confused with the Nizamabad district that is North of Hyderabad. Nagarjuna sagar is about 150km to the South-East of Hyderabad and is popular for a dam that provides irrigation and electricity. From there, if you go further toward Macherla, you could visit Ethipothala falls. Medak is the closest at about 100 km. If this is the destination, I am guessing that the plan is to head out on NH7/NH44 till Toopran or Ramayampet and branch off onto the road that heads toward Medak. BTW, there's a tollgate-bypass road near Toopran that folks can try out if they have a 4x4 (though it's unlikely anyone would get stuck).

| ![]() Lets go to Nizamabad. It is 175 kms away, fantastic road, hardly any traffic, have a beautiful farm there where I can arrange the famed 'ANKAPOOR' desi chicken and other delicacies. |

I just located the tail hook (more of a loop than a hook) on my Esteem today so I know someone can pull me out of wet mud backward if I do get stuck.

I did not know of the other Nizamabad. The road between Kamareddy and Dichpally is mostly ready except for small stretches where you have diversions. Been over a month I traveled on that road. Will find out more details from my family members coming over from Nirmal tomorrow. |

![]() I guess we have a complete single-carriage road till Kamareddy now. The roads with diversions are difficult to travel over at night - my tyres don't have any grip on those roads near the diversion signs probably because of the loose gravel and those diversion signs are difficult to see at night. I should probably look for a pod to hold the rally-style headlights or get an Indian-style holder fitted onto the grille of my bonnet. The dual-carriage traffic doesn't help either with the crazy drivers charging from the wrong side of the road - it makes me wonder if I should invest in a heavy bullbar because I doubt the passenger cage on an Esteem will hold up to a head-on collision with a Bolero or a Scorpio at speeds in excess of 120 km/hr (the on-coming traffic is usually at a high speed).
