Thanks a lot for enlightening me of the road condition, rkhare. I am seriously considering driving in my XUV 500 on this route in this September to Srinagar/Leh. I did this route in September 2011 in my erstwhile Linea.

Guys,

Great to see that this plan is taking shape. I was always interested in this, but got stuck in a lot of work and deadlines over last 3-4 months, and lost track of this thread.

I am surely interested in joining the Bangalore group, and am thinking of driving my SX4 from Bangalore. Can I synch up with some Bangalore guys to get the details of the plan, including how to do the accommodation arrangement etc.? I am sorry I missed the Bangalore meet on this.

I will really appreciate if some Bangalore guys fill me in with the details.

I am a student studying MBA in Delhi. I have vacations from 26th August to 7th September.
Was planning to ride a bike but I have been out of practice, hence little stamina.
