Ohh sorry !! that went off my mind. Then in that case, I will still suggest a night drive via Chennai. By doing that you can still have a day in Kolkata. It will faster in the night via GQ route.

A 4PM start from Bangalore on Day0 can ensure you reach Kolkata Day1 late night with no-halt driving.

I feel a day break in Kolkata will do a world of good for the remaining stretch of GQ.

akroy, I agree & am okay for a earlier start, but its upto arindam.
Leaving at around 3pm on 9th Feb should get us in Kolkata by sunset the next day.
let's see how it ultimately evolves.

Better to halt in Gopalpur than Vizag , we would have crossed the chaos at Icchapuram.

Guys,
If there is one thing I love during travelling, that is trying the local food, preferrably non-veg. Not the five star types but local cuisine. Every town & city will have some famous joint run by the local chaps unique to that place, which any autorickshaw driver could guide you to.It need not necessarily be a hip & happening place. The taste comes first, ambience & service standards take a back seat.
Something like this:
Salem-Selvi Mess,Trichy-Muniyandi Vilas,Kannapa's,
Kundapur-Shetty Lunch Home,
Chennai-Buharis, Velu Military hotel, Ponnuswamy's,Anjappar, Hyderabad-Paradise Hotel, Bawarchi's, Kochi-Ceylon Bake House, Pondy-Appachi's & list goes on & on (all among my favourite joints)
I guess you get the drift.

So, tbhpians pls suggest some places to eat on the drive, someplace you have enjoyed or heard about. The only criteria is that the food must be out of the world.
So guys shoot...,

re-posting as requested

The plan is for 6 days, + 1 day buffer.

Day 1/April 10: Bangalore - Anakapalli
Day 2/April 11: Anakapalli - Kolkata
Day 3/April 12: Kolkata - Etawah
Day 4/April 13: Etawah - Chittaurgarh
Day 5/April 14: Chittaurgarh - Pune
Day 6/April 15: Pune - Bangalore

Though hvk has pointed out that it is little to aggressive on day 1 and day 3, we will see how it goes, and change the plan accordingly.

Wow. A drive!

Now I have a few queries :
1) Are you planning any meets in between ?

2) If Yes, which day and at what time can I expect you to be finishing off NE-1 and grabbing NH-8 to go towards Mumbai.

If there is any possibility of a meet, I would love to come and also ask others from Vadodara to come up.
If you are planning a meet at A'bad, I can travel down there at the specified location, this is applicable only if I am alone or there are fewer than 3 people from Vadodara.
