Hi guys, Seeing this facinating thread , I too will like to join you guys from Bangalore on the 7th of Feb. I live in Pune . I will be driving to Chennai on the 26th Jan for some business assignment. My wife and kid will be accompanying me. They will return to Pune on the 3rd by Flight. Subsequently on the 3rd /4thFeb I will drive to Coimabatore, stay for day or two and then to Bangalore on the 6th.

If anyone from Chennai/Coimbatore/ Bangalore wishes to join me and then on to Bangalore to join the "Pan India T bhp meet" upto Pune /Mumbai pls let me know.

Please note after reaching Pune /Mumbai I will not drive back to Chennai/Blr/Coimbatore. Anyone joining me will have to get back to their respective Cities on their own.

As regards accomadation or any other help required in Pune / Lonavala please let me know, I will try and do my best .

Pls do PM me and I shall contact you.

with your comments and in this case where we may have new co-passengers, respective ego's have to be left at home.
I will like to suggest that the BOSS( meaning HVK,since I believe HE IS THE KING OF ROADS ) should give a do's & Dont's list for all new co-passengers travelling together for the first time. Dont's such as NO Drinking liquor or Smoking in car , Going off route without the permission of the leader, etc Do's list 1) Basic medical kit, 2) All Documents pertaining to Car including PUC 3) copy of Driving license of all such persons who intend driving etc
Names of all participants with email ID's ,mobile nos, HOME nos of near and dear one's( in case of Emergency) to be maintained at all times with the Team leader.
By informing all the Participants of such Do's & Dont's, a certain discipline can be maintained.

While on another issue I wish to know if any help is required for locating hotels in and around Pune/ Lonavala for the 7th or has it been organised already??

The trip is scheduled to start on Feb 7 from Bangalore, and run for 12 days thereafter.

Overnight halt destinations are not finalised and hotel bookings will depend on place of stay and number of participants.

The costs being considerable, pooling is the way to go, but there have been hardly any pooling plans announced so far.

Originally, the trip was planned with several tbhp meets en route, but so far only the Baroda and Calcutta teams have evinced interest in hosting any meets.

The recent 6 Day GQ Drive has thrown up enough evidence on how difficult the drive can be and the necessity to prepare very earnestly - both the car and its driver.

I am from bangalore & was wondering if any one would like to join me for the whole GQ or for any particular strech.
I'm driving a Swift diesel 6 months old & just back from a 20k km service.
upto 3 guys can join me.
