A dealers plate is meant for use only in the city/town.Whilst the bentley plate was a delhi RTO temp plate, which is issued for taking the car out of the city/town/state. So technically and legally it was the right way to bring the car to Mumbai, and it is valid for 15 days.

A dealers plate is meant for use only in the city/town.

Legally it can be used only for driving the car from the godown till the showroom. And only one person has the license to drive the car. His name and photo are mentioned on some papers which have to be carried by him at all times. These are not Temp registrations or TR registrations which we get when we buy a new car. These are dealer registrations which the dealer gets to use till the time the car is registered. However he cannot drive it with these registrations for long. There is an expiry date for it too.

Gautam Singhania : Doubt he participated in the event. Heard him mentioning "helicopter" and "Juhu Airport". Also seems to have lost his car in the hotel. Was asking everyone around "where is my car?"

Everyone blocked his way to take pics when he entered the hotel. The R1 was the best sounding machine. Sohail was also heard to be telling a guard not to block his way or he'll run over him.
Came on an R1 and left in an Audi A6.
