Next Tapri Meet - Pune

I was eagerly awaiting a report on todays meet. I am working on a Sunday

. After going through the first couple of posts by noopster and Sudarshan regarding todays drive, I realised that I have missed out on a very well organised and well planned drive but then cant do anything about it PAAPI PET KA SAWAL HAI, KAAM TO KARNA HI PADEGA. noopster and sudarshan sir the pics are amazing.

ONE REQUEST: Please organise the next drive / meet on a national holiday so poor souls like myself (and many others who work on weekends) can attend.
Awaiting a detailed report (Swanand I am sure you are compiling it).

For me, the highlight apart from meeting a bunch of genuinely great people was the chance to see some droolworthy machines. Here's some pics of the Landy's interiors (Hope you don't mind, Sudarshan!)

My missing logos and the "crime-wave" sweeping Pune was a topic of hot discussion.

Thats why i suggested next drive meet to mahabaleshwar on 1st May,
waiting for any news from the guys on that front.

We had great time. My mobile photos were not worth posting. So, posting the traces of our Pune-Lavasa and Lavasa-Pune drives. The 'H' markers with duration show the halts we had. We were eating for 2 hrs and 15 mins!

Some really bad work with my camera. Completely forgot that I was using a Circular Polariser Filter!

Had a wonderful time. Everybody has almost uploaded most of the snaps so would just share a couple of snaps taken while we were waiting for lunch at Buninda Dhaba.

Also would like to mention here the enthusiasm of a couple of BHPians (scphanse & mdsaab) who, because of prior commitments were not able to join us for the drive till Lavasa but still made it a point to wake up early to catch up with fellow BHPians before the drive. In fact mdsaab same about half way to Lavasa met us at the place where we were having breakfast and then took a U-Turn back

My Take

I am game for drive to MAPRO, Panchgani, before 31 March 2011 as I will be sailing out to sea thereafter. MAPRO is just 2 hrs drive from Pune. We can drive, eat, shoot pics, stop at Wai and return to Pune by evening.

High time we burn some real rubber with our families!!
