| 27-02-2011 Shamirpet meet It was a nice meet and on a personal note it was good to meet many (Sabby, Bhatman, octane78, Ashishy, Neilguy) for the first time today. It was a good turnout on what was in a way my first drive meet (at least on the return leg). Avi ensured that we didn't miss the regulars too much, by waxing eloquent about the regular Hyd TBHP meets for the better part of the meet  .I got BQ's front left fender and door lightly polished even before I reached home and the scratches are invisible now, so 'aal eej well' once again .Regards, spadix |

Loved: Stories about your cars, traveling and experiences on the roads. Appu's Galaxy S combined as a GPS, phone, Camera, Music System, etc. etc. The little bit of offroading The turnout Bhatman driving his car next to the tables. Honestly speaking, I was neither in the mood nor physically up to make it for this meet. Sorry for turning up so late and for making you all wait In retrospect, now i feel my extra effort was worth it. It was fantastic meet yesterday and probably a unique one, as usually Hydeez meets has 80% regulars and rest newbies. This time it was absolutely vice-versa. Though the intial drive was nightmarish with all of us getting plaqued with horrible traffic jam at Alwal but, post that roads opened up and everyone got to open up their choked throttle's and let in some air into their freeflows  I was especially sad to see the scratch marks on Spadix's beloved BQ after he scraped past a thoughtless tractor driver at the begining of the offroad to the lake, he was brave to keep a strong face. I would have broken down if it had happened to my WA considering the scratches ran all along the side of his car. And, i am also glad that he got it polished and its back in its full glory. Thanks to Octane78, we got some special attention at the dhaba even if the food was terrible to say the least. For me, highlight of the meet was Wing Commander Bhat, it was a pleasure to meet him and found him a very lively,enthusiastic and knowledgable gentleman. He kept the conversation going and lived up to the famous defence attitude ( Good Spirits, Camaderie and lighting up the house on fire). Also, we look forward to taking up his generous offer of arranging for a meet sometime in end-march for an up-close spectacle of fighter planes at Dundigal academy. This meet was wound up in great fashion with me and Sabby having a great drive back from Shamirpet to Sec'bad club which was covered in a pace that i would term it as "blistering" I am happy that i could make it to this meet and hope to see all new faces that I met again for the next meet. Great pictures, Ashish, Mashmash and Spadix. If you have more, bring them on !!! Keep tuned to this thread for details of "when and what" will be our next meet.
