Could you please explain this? How exactly are you using this?

Don't get me wrong. I just want to know, what exactly you did to say that. A normal wash using that cloth?

Hi Rudra,

Can you please suggest which treatment to go for a new Car? I had a word with TPC3 person Rajesh Manchanda but they don't have an outlet in Delhi, though he mentioned about a mobile camp sometime in next 1-2 months in Delhi. Meanwhile I want to explore the 3M option too, which product would you suggest for a new car? Also, the underbody rust prevention coating, I heard there are various products for this too? Which one do you experts advise and will it also result in a better NVH inside the cabin ?

Thanks in advance

Guess the thread is dead ? No responses since last 4 days...

Guys, Pls advise.

Sorry for this delay. Check with 3M people. They have all the solutions you're asking for.
TPC3 is good too (though I've never tried because they're not in Bangalore).
Try to avoid these mobile camp business. You won't get proper attention

sent them an email, can anyone in Delhi send me the 3M contact details ? Any phone nunbers etc.

Thanks

can the body of the car be wiped dry with newspaper after the washing.

God, no!
I would have shot the wash guy.
Do that a couple of times and you've got a car that will look 7 years old.

hemanthisgreat, I agree with filcord here. What is this new process of using newspaper? DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO DO THAT.

IMO, newspapers ( black and white ones ) can be used to clean the windscreen and other glass parts ONLY, not the car

Yes, and I've mentioned it before.

Hi Rudra,

Sorry for the late reply. Found your query only now. Good you asked me. I was wondering if I am using it the right way.

I use it for the normal car wash. I am following your procedure for washing the car. First I remove the dirt with the soaked cloth. I wash the cloth to remove the dirt and shampoo on it. Replace the dirt water in bucket with fresh water. After that i dry the car by squeezing the chamois cloth frequently.

Please advise.

Rudra, Please note that I use only chamois cloth for normal washing.

For polishing, I use the sponge that is available with formula 1 wax for applying the wax all over the car. Then I use 3M car cleaning cloth for completely drying it up.

Rudra, saw your earlier post.

I will stop using chamois cloth for washing. I will use it only for drying.

What i liked about using chamois cloth for washing is that it is easy to remove dirt, absorbs water well and easy to dry in between. What is the problem with using it for washing?

Between, Was anyone lucky enough to find a authorized 3M car detailing centre in bangalore?

I'm sure it'll be lower than this amount. There's one in Indiranagar close to BDA. Sorry, I can't give you the address because I don't know. We can probably make a trip there together.

Is this hot tracks behind BDA, adjacent to the service road in Old Madras Road, at the beginning of the road to Ozz One.

hi all,
thanks to this thread, my azure gray swift VDI, now 4 months old, is free of swirl marks and scratches, till now.
i donot let anyone else touch it, let alone wash it.
i wash and wax it every sunday , takes a good 4 hours but is well worth the effort.
i use MGA shampoo for washing, as for waxes i have tried formula1,EAGLE 1 NANOWAX, and turtle wax hard shell.
now, a scratch has appeared out of no where just above the third stop light( above the boot lid).
and it is not going by turtle wax scratch and swirl remover, i hv tried scratch out formula too, with no benefits. and it doesnt look deep, and is not big.

so 1 of my friends is in delhi rite now, can any 1 suggst something to remove it.and where to buy it in delhi?
regaqrding the waxes, i do it so frequently becausei think, no wax last lasts for more than 1 week in rains when my car is not parked under a roof.
i am looking looking for 3m products , if some one can tell me where in delhi can i get these.

thanks in advance
abhijeet
