What could be the reason. I am kind of getting fed up with this car now. I find this to be a car which runs well when revved, apart from it for a normal city driving, it is proving to be a pain.

Bro don't give up , its a Vtec .. i have a 1.5 and still love it with minor performance mods. these small issues will keep cropping up its a 9 yr old car after all,

currently my window does not roll down ..have to change the motor ..hehe & ya the driver side door does not open sometimes. you can imagine the pain .. no window and door opening sometimes

We just have to find a good mechanic who can sort our cars out once and for all , i am on the hunt , but only found a guy for suspensions.

I am sure Team bhp will help us find the right Garage.

Cheers for now

Wow, splendidly done and refreshed OHC. If any owner gives this kind of attention, this car can easily live for 5 more years without any significant maintenance cost.

Sexy Mesh Job! I love it. From where did you get it done and how much for it. You got me thinking again. Do those skirtings hit any speed bumps. I got my suspension done up and its better but i want a tighter one. Not sure who can do a good job.

EDIT: Just saw the quote. Just like I guessed. 3000 bucks for the grill is just too much. :(

Upper Grill for 3k and Lower Grill for 4k, thats looting. I had read a thread by a TBHPian on adding a mesh to his alto as a DIY. Is City Motors or Shetty Motors at Opera House the best place to get OHC Parts. Thinking of getting new power window motors, brake pads (which brand should i get).

re: 1st Gen Honda City Owners - Problems Areas, Fuel Efficiency and more

I just started to restore my OHC Vtec and right now it is being painted at Bhavani Auto Care in Powai.

I need to look after/source following after the painting process is over, please suggest the place to get them at a reasonable cost:

1 - suspension to be done
2 - clutch change
3 - brake lights (both) (got a quote for 900 per piece from somewhere in Bhindi Bazar)
4 - headlights
5 - right side OVRM
6 - silver protection strip for door edges
7 - front grill
8 - timing belt change
9 - Autocop (Got a quote for 2900 for Autocop 2k in Thane)
10-Brake Pads
11-Door Handles (all four)

Ryan
Could you PM me the contact details (and if possible, cost involved) for the suspensions guy?

Hey ,

Give me a buzz when you plan to get the suspensions done i will come with you , the garage is in bandra (w) - Oberoi , don't have the ph no now , lost my phone.

I spend 18 k for the front ( yours should be less depending on the work involved )

the back should cost 4k

BTW how much are you paying for the paint job , is it an overcoat ?
also from where are you getting the grill done for how much ?

cheers

For the Grill/trim/ORVM etc you should go back to your painter.

Oberoi is right next to my house and he is very good for all mechanical work and fitting your new lights.

Just call Mr Oberoi on 9920806885 and give him my reference, we can also meetup when you come here.

City Motors in Opera house has most of the stuff for the OHC.

I got my front suspension done, rear wheel hub and bearings, servicing plus several other work. Total damage was 19k. Job done at Andheri east. Job is good but takes too long as the guy has lot of customers.

But i would suggest that since you are in your overhauling phase, try to get the suspension stiffened or even lowered if you want to as i at times get a scary feeling driving at high speeds on the vtec.
