harry, congratulations on your city. its a great deal at 1.65 just by looking at the pictures. the badge says its a 1.5exi-s these are also very rare. not sure whats the difference compared to standard 1.5exi but i think it came with side skirts. When I got my VTEC the used car dealer had sold a 1.5exi-s at the same time thats when I had seen it first time.

1k according to me is a little high. Most of the petrol cars I have know idle between 700 - 900 rpm.

around 800 mark for my NHC iDSI.

BTW, for cold starts (e.g. early winter morning), it starts at around 1500 and then gradually settles down to 800.

Also, the rpm jumps a little (by around 100) when you swtich on A/C while idling.

NO. I've attached pictures below of type 1 & 2 lights and they are quite self explanatory.

I still repeat my earlier question: Why do you want to mod a beautiful car? It's good as it is.

i dont want any overdone mods but simple mods like some stickers or vinyl which will look sober and give it a unique look

1000 is definitely on the higher side, you need to get it adjusted. My OHC idles at 700 - 800 rpms (once warmed up).

1K is high as mentioned by everyone.
But the figure should be checked when engine is warm and A/C is off. The A/C can also make a difference of 200 rpm.
Also check that there is no error in meter. The scale will not be linear in lower readings and a small error can show up.

I have a Swift Petrol. My rpm goes upto 1K in cold starts. I believe, this is Ok as the engine is warming up. After I cover some distance, it comes down to 700.

My OHC idles at 1000 on cold starts, and between 700-850 once warmed up.

on cold morning starts it goes as high as 1500rpm, but settles to 850 when warms up.
should one refrain from pressing the clutch while the car is at 1500 rpm; since its more like hitting the gas and pressing the clutch at the same time. My question is should one wait till the rpm settles down(although it takes a good 3-4 minutes to warm up)

No need. I have not seen anybody waiting for the car to warm-up. Atleast I don't do it. I start and drive out immediately.
