I have been trying to get OWS products for my cars in Mumbai. Even went down to N1 Racing and although nice people they still don't have any stock.

Can anyone help me get this in Mumbai?

Even I'm also a very satisfied user of OWS (thanks to Riju and Farhaan) and now it's time to change the engine oil again. Do I need to flush the engine again? Or I can just get the oil from Farhaan and use it? And I already have a litre of oil left. Please do reply guys.

Kaushik, you can get use the old oil can you have. Just order the balance from Sideways.

You don't have to flush it again. This is just an oil change.

Thanks Vidyut, I'll do that. And is there any need for the engine protector fluid again?

Was not pleased with the truck's behaviour of late - erratic idling on cold starts and smoking like crazy - the truck was smoking like crazy at Total Mall Madiwala the other night when we met for Hari's birthday party.

I had not done a reasonably long drive since the track P&P day and the last few tankfuls were at Shell Bellary Road (near Mekhri Circle) - looks like me and this bunk don't get along well.

Amit (iceman91) recommended a good Injector Cleaner and since I was going to be in Madras over the weekend, suggested that I contact Farhan (Sideways) for the same. Picked 2 cans of the OWS 360 injector cleaner and added the contents to a full tank (Shell diesel - Porur Chennai) on the truck. This was done just before I left Madras for Bangalore last evening.

OWS Goodies in my baby: A pleasant change-img_1076.jpg

Man, the difference is mindblowing and best part is, the change is instantaneous. One can feel the difference in <10 km of driving. Acceleration is better, engine noise is much lower and the exhaust smoke is barely visible. The engine feels new and revs so easily now.The erratic idling has disappeared completely on cold starts.

Thanks a ton, Amit and Farhan.

P.S. Apologies to anybody who was on the GQ last evening between 5 pm and 8:30 pm .

Guys, please post prices.
The last time I got OWS stuff was when the 5W50 cost Rs.550 per litre and the OWS 210,220 (flush, engine oil treatment respectively) cost around the same.

Ho many litres is your tank?
The Safari's fuel tank capacity is 65 litres - ideal usage is 1 can for 20 litres of diesel. I was experimenting with 2 cans (3 would have been ideal) but can't say I'm not happy

1 can for 20-30 litres of fuel
Since he filled 65 litres hence 2 cans.

Several OWS products were lying with me for last 2 weeks and today I got a chance to get their magic done on the Palio 1.6 S10

This is what was done:
  • OWS Engine Flush
  • OWS Synthetic Engine Oil
  • OWS Engine Protector
  • OWS Fuel Treatment
  • Spark Plugs
Prior to this,
  • The car was idling at 1200 RPM (when started)
  • Engine had started sounding coarse ( was time for engine oil change)
  • Was not starting in 'half key crank' (whatever that means)
Now the idling is ~800 RPM and engine sounds super smooth. The car feels very rev friendly now and has become fun to drive again. Also, the car starts in that 'half crank' now

The old oil came out pitch black and the old spark plugs were all jet black and past their life.

Must say that I am very very happy with the OWS treatment and money well spent.

Look forward to happy days driving the S10.
