True. Later Palios also came with those higher, wider and more comfortable front seats.

Features unique to Palio Adventure that I'm aware of:
  1. Electric ORVMs
  2. Better roof light in front with spot light function
  3. Thicker, padded door trim that covers greater area and conceals the door metal
  4. Factory fitted music system
  5. Foot rest beside the clutch
  6. Body coloured, not black grill
  7. More colour options
  8. Higher price

One very apparent difference in the Lohith's Palio Adventure and my Adventure Sport was the seating. Adventure sport has a high seating. I think Palio Adventure has Palio like seating. I am sure there would be some other differences as well.

The drive was as exciting as it could be with an adventure.

@Lohith - your car's engine as good as new even after doing 51K+ kilometeres. And your car looks really smart. For the price, you have got a great deal buddy. Congratulations !!!
Thanks bro

Yes it was fun to drive a well maintained Advy. Loved the seats and the luxurious music system hehehe and Advy looks stunning in Red!

With the FFE & CIA the car breaths much easily, driving in city of much easy!

I loved the low note of the car, it was not loud like my OHC hehe

Tyre Puncture

This morning noticed front left tyre flat:( have driven hardly about 1000kms and already a flat...on my intial inspection dint find any nails. i think when i get it fixed will come to know what might be the reason.

Hope Mich is not prone for punctures....am so used the Bridgestone Turanza....drove in horrible roads and did about 18k + kms but never had a flat tyre...

will update on this soon...

isnt it tubeless? if there are no nails, make sure that air is not leaking from around the rim.

Did you by any chance get your tyre pressure checked the evening before the flat? Happened to me once. I got the presuure checked and drove home (25 kms). Next morning one tyre was completely flat. Turned out there was no puncture. Turned out the valve got stuck and was leaking air after filling.

BTW, I also have Michilen Tubeless.

Cheers,

Rajan

OK guys update on the tyre:

It was a small issue, something to do with tyre collar(hope using the right term) once that was changed the problem seem to be rectified.

On the caliper bolt, got one made at lathe. i was unable to find the bold anywhere in Bangalore or Mangalore. even Ananth tried to fetch it from Pune but no luck:(

Anyways since could get a identical one made at lathe this problem also has been taken care.

One more issue has creeped in, did notice that there is a rough noise coming from the engine. once inspected the mech told that it is from the idler bearing will know the exact cause once opened up. am looking to close this isuue soon

Here is the the update:

Patchyboy, as you mentioned the lost air due to the valve, but it was very slow...anyways have fixed that issue and must say that Iyengar & Sons they were more then happy to help

Did have some noise coming in for the ideler bearing, got it fixed at RAC one of bearing was replaced...

K&N Apollo, Yes not Green cotton... was very close to go for GC but since the RAC guys were confused about the installation that made me change my mind...this sat gave a vist to Ozone and was impressed with the Apollo, this comes with the dynamization pipe and few clamps...I must say i was impressed with the Ozone guys though they were not sure aboutthe installation they did break thier head and made sure finally the filter was fixed properly...

presently am not using the Dyna.. pipe as it was too long and wide in dia was not fitting well..

Short review on the Apollo, It feels good the engine breasths much easily...love the growl...in 3rd gear i could do smooth 120....driving in city is easier as the car responds much sharper....i think its a good buy

Will keep you guys posted on this

how much did the idler bearing cost? 1700/-?

what about the rusted exhaust? did you get that fixed? i got my palio's exhaust checked and repaired at F.A.S.S for 1200/- - there was a small hole in the pipe near the end can and the outer sheet of the end can was replaced. the senior service engineer said that it the entire thing was fine except for the repaired parts.

Concorde Servicing - Impressed

Concorde Service is Impressive!

Have some good experience in service part, firstly i had damaged rear view(motorized) and was hunting for the spare but luckily my wait was very short, thanks to the "prompt" service from the fiat guys.

When i called "greentracks" i was asked to pay 80% in advance and had to wait 10 days, when contacted concorde was told had to wait. this kind off pissed me so i called the help line number(fiat site) and spoke to them about the spare scene of fiat i was directed to the manager-spares...this gentlemen turned out to be of great help he assured me that he will sort it out soon and the next day i get a call from "Concorde" that they have the mirror in stock and i can get it fixed...

I got a reminder call on friday from concorde, on saturday i left the car at concorde(hosur rd) along with this job i had asked them to rectify the rattling noise, rear wiper and the clock was not working....

i got a prompt call from them around 5ish telling the car is ready and updated me about the status...i went to the service station around 6:45...car was ready after a good wash...advisor was helpful...and everything done as expected.

Only things was the mirror button was functiona opposite, like if i press top it goes down and vice versa this orning got a call from concorde asking for the feedback and when i told about this they promplty were ready to send the technisian to my house/office....i must say am impressed!

Experience with RAC was OK! though i had left the car for abut 1week, they had not done many work properly like rattling...they had asked me to change the clock while it had some issue with wiring(thanks to rat)

Can say Concorde is proactive and they seem to be interested to help! hope they will continue like this!

Some updates

After completeing about 4k odd kms on the oddo, this is mostly on the hiway...have few observations...

Tyres: does not gives me the same confidnece as Bridgestone Turanza(OHC)... if i have to brake lil hard the tyres tend to skid or gives me the noise...not sure if the brakes are too sharp?

On winding roads while descending i regularly got the noise from the tyres...this i never heard in bridgestone(OHC) i would be doing about 50kmph on the turns...dont think i was fast???

Seats: I need to get it done, presently kind a saggy, loved the seats on safari.....

Rat entry: thier is a nice big hole from the engine bay area for the wires through which rat enters and i guess while with the old owner it ha s done good damege to wires...need to look for a way!

dont know why the fiat engineers dint think of rats while keeping such a big hole

Am i happy about the deciison of buying adventure, i think yes i am thoufh i miss my OHC for its sommth reving....advy feels good to drive!

Kind of offraod on Advy

Baground:This saturday i got an opportunity to test the Adventure on the soft soil, thanks to the drainage work the road was in a mess or i can say their was no roads near to my place...and due to the rains it had made things worse. so where the drain work was done near by area was filled with slush and soft soil...thanks to some sensible people they had put some mud to cover tha area...this has made impossible to drive through(for sedans)

So on my way to work and with the only option to connect to the main road, i drove towars this spot(about 100ft of bad area) i saw a innova and another sedan waiting as some people tried to make this road motorable...but it looked it would take not less than ahalf day to fix the road. while the sedan moved back people around asked me also telling that my car wont be able to pass through but asked the Innova guy to go ahead...i did take thier advice and waited for the Innova to go through...it did go through half the distance but got stuck in the middle saw ut throwing the mug all around slidding left and right... told to myself that i will be late to office today....but after some struggle the innova got through...

Now i was lil confident and ventured while people around told that i wont be able to...surprisingly my car did through the bad part with very little struggle compared to Innova....am impreed...Adventure means buisenss
