Still havent driven the Punto.. loooooooongggg waiting for test drive.. anyways..any specific reason for the change.. since the swift was almost brand new..were you not satisfied with the car??..whats the difference in driving terms in these car..as both have Fiat 1.3liter multijet engine and moreover the swift has a VGT.. is Punto sluggish to drive as compared to the VDI.

I have driven VDI and its fun to drive..
The Swift does not have a VGT. And where did you find waiting for a test drive for a Punto in Delhi. Come down to South Delhi (Rama Motors, Okha Phase-II) and drive any model/color of your choice. Thats because they still have a few press cars with them which were brought down for the launch.

On the driveability part, if you need a FTD car, the Swift it is. But if you need a highway cruiser, there's not much better than a Punto. The ride quality makes the Punto a winner IMHO.

Congratulations on your new car! Just curious, how does the Punto compare to the Swift in fuel efficency and pickup, considering that they share the same engine?

Congrats anshuman for getting a sexy red punto. The car looks awesome and with the features it has got, it is anyday better than swift.

Enjoy the drive and drive safe.

The reason i swapped Swift with Punto is that i found punto much much better in every aspect only outright acceleration was not as good but driveablity is as good, power delivery is smoother.NVH is not at all bad,in Punto's cabin you will hear boom whereas in Swift's cabin you will find clatter.

Went south delhi and back, the MID was showing 16.5kmpl with avg speed of 35kmph.

Guys,I sincerely feel that punto looks too hot in flesh than in pics, sometimes in pics it looks ordinary. When I saw the red beauty first time I couldn't correlate to what I saw in the pics.Did anybody feel the same?

My heart says nothing can stop punto being a 'runaway hit'.Right now, there is really no match to this car in its segment.

I Completely agree with you, especially the mysterious headlights which look different from every other angle. The choice of colors for the car is really very nice, all colors except silver look damn good.
If somebody else has noticed the grille is black in active variant which might go well with silver and white.
