Vinay,
I travelled to Mysore and back today and my car was grazing most of the speed breakers. Did you face this issue too? If not, let me know what you have done to overcome the low GC issue?

Hey Achinth....I was away on weekend hence couldn't reply..... Well I traveled with my wife and luggage...So there was hardly any weight.....We went through all the breaker pretty well....didn't touched anywhere and yes, I created this collage with Picasa 3 and thanks for the appreciation. it really make us proud to have the beauty and now a days you hardly get the appreciation.

@NutsNBolts: Thanks for the appreciation.....I took this pics at a point between the Pine trees point and shooting point. Its around 2Km from Pine tree point in Ooty, don't remember the name of the point.

@Ferrari1976: Thanks

Recently I also did a trip to Ooty from Chennai (the infamous "hi-speed" video thread). Ok coming to the point, the ghats are close to 50 kms (from Mettupalayam).. There will be no issues with the Linea in terms of power, comfort etc etc..

But my child had serious motion sickness and she was puking all the way.. So if you will have a child on board- take some precautions..

With respect to the car, be careful while "U" bends since the length of the car is high.

Happy driving!

Regards,
Sathya

Hi Achinthg,
As you are driving on weekend, the downward traffic will be limited but few mistake I did -
Started climbing with AC On, So switch off the AC as soon as you reach the ghat,
don't think of overtaking while climbing up.
Also, you can climb all the turn in Second gear. It is around 16-18KM with 36 hair pin bends

As FIAT Owners said they have the VIN Number having more than 17 characters and standard decoding throws out weired data etc.... Can any one tell me where will be the Chasis no written on FIAT cars? and how many digits are there on that? can someone tell me their chasis number to me for a decoding experiment please

In Fiat Linea, VIN has been embossed on the floor of front co-passenger. You have to remove the mat/carpet to see this number. My yet-to-be-delivered Fiat Linea's VIN is MCA11071609010205JPZ. MCA represents Asia/India and JPZ refers to September 2009.

OK. MCA = FIAT INDIA
1107160 = 1.4 16V E3 EMOTION PACK (i.e PETROL)
10205 = MAY BE SERIAL NUMBER
JPZ= Can you please explain the logic of each letter i.e JPZ

1. So far the last digit is constant from everyone who posted i.e Z (so is it Year 2009)
2. So far the Second digit is either P or Q (is it Date, P=15 , Q=16)
3. So far the first digits are A,B,C,D,E,F,G and J
(A= Jan, B= Feb, C= Mar, D= Apr, E= May, F= June, G= July, J= October)

Italy do follow MM/DD/YYYY format

JPZ
CQZ
DPZ
AQZ
BQZ
EPZ
FPZ
GPZ

JPZ is from a yet to be delivered Linea Epk Petrol of J.Ravi

Any comments guys
