Oops, typo. I meant glovebox.

No, not even a single part is yet available, let alone central locking. BTW, I got Minda central locking fit onto my car and it works like a charm!

Will be taking interior pics along with the DIY, will be up by tom night most probably.

It costed me 3.7k and it was the top version in their kits.

The experience is good. The service advisor was good and the only let down is that there is a delay in the delivery time. I was asked to come over by 5.30 to pick the car up and as I type this, the cleaning is still going on. Apart from that, no issues. Will check in a while if all my issues had been rectified properly or not.

S10 never came in red. Canary yellow was the only color ,it was not even available for GTX in the beginning but later on came with GTX.

Those alloys are OZs! Yes, they are 15" and the Linea too comes with 15". I do not know if any specific variant of the Linea comes with 16" but IIRC all Linea alloys are 15" (I use one set on my GTX).

The S10 came in yellow and red. The red was not very popular and very few were sold in red. However, I do think Naveen's car colour was changed from yellow to red. He did mention something about it but I forget. HimanshuGoswami is one lucky dude who helped a cousin take delivery of a red S10 in Mumbai and drive it back to Delhi.

Yes i got 2 remotes with it. Looks tacky though. Will post a pic if you want to have a look.

No, 195 R15 tire will balloon out. Rather you have 195 size tire in R14, you can go for that.

What will you fill into the balance 1" the rim is 14" in dia. the inner dia of the tyre is 15" .......leaving a clear 1" gap between tyre and rim = the R15 tyre cannot be mounted on a 14" rim, a R15 tyre requres a 15" rim.

If your question is - can a 195 section tyre be mounted on 14" rims - the answer is - yes, if the rim's width is 5.5 or more, a 195 might fit on a 5.0 but it is likely to baloon.

Cheers

hmm i was being greedy my thinking was 1 inch/2 so 0.5 inch of a gap, and may be the the tires would fit.

Any way i think the emotion comes with R 14 185 section tires.
where can i get the rim width is it 5 or 5.5 ?

OEM is 175/70 R14 for emotion, I have no idea about the width of the wheel - you will find it stamped on the wheel though. The closest you can get to the OEM rubber dia is 205/60 R 14 followed by 185/65 R14 and 195/65 R 14.

Will be starting the DIY stuff in a few hours. So as I do it, ill keep snapping pics and will cover even the interiors. Pakka promise

The car is very smooth after service. All the rattles are gone. Feels amazing quite now on corners, bumps, etc. Gearknob issue sorted out, rear parcel tray sorted out, the doorpads fitted properly and even the seats fitted properly.

The only thing bothering me is, should I change the oil or not. They said it being synthetic doesnt need a change for 15k kms. I did tell them that the minute particles will be settled as the engine just got set, but they were like nothing of that sort happens and it isnt necessary. Is that right?

And yes, like I asked in the other thread, how do I maintain the glossy finish on my car? The teflon coat was crap and the only cleaning being done now is by my watchman daily with water. I want to avoid swirl marks (which have appeared) and keep the car glossy and shiny.

DIY wax it with Motomax / Formula One Wax. It is very hard to keep a red car shiny.

I expected that you will upload the ICE pics.

Lol, pics are ready mate. Sad part is that its in my friend's mobile and his connection is slow. So ill transfer them and post them tom night.

A small issue. The license plate number bulbs are replaced with LEDs but now the bulb indicator is on in my cluster. Shucks.

Good to hear that the Fiat A.S.C. did a good job of your servicing.

In addition to the solid waxes mentioned - you can also try the 3M liquid polish - it gives a nice wet look.

Cheers,
