Kenwood Wet And Dry Vacuum Cleaner 14.4 Volt Rechargeable

Bought a KENWOOD Wet and Dry Vaccum Cleaner - 14.4 volt Rechargeable from METRO - Yeswanthapur - Bangalore for Rs.2136.40/- and its done a very good job by clearing all the mud from the floor carpet of the car.

The good thing is it can directly plug-in to the Cigar lite socket of the car, also comes with 1 long nose attachment and 1 rubber nose attachment for wet cleaning.

300 K.M Update

300 k.m Update
  • The gear shift is smooth and i'm doing it with ease
  • Its takes most of the pothholes which i gone through (Old Madras Road to Richmond Road - Rememeber the Metro contruction is going on)
  • The car is struggling for power in 2nd gear when going from dead slow positions (AC Swithed ON all times)
  • Seats are kind of stiff - and i m thinking of adding leather seats or anything which can give more cushioning

Guys i m planing to put V-Kool 70 on the Front wind shield , getting it for 11k , also like to go for a clear film for sides too with other brand. Can u suggest a good brand other than V-kool. (For sides Only)

500 K.M Update

500 K.M Update

The car is getting better and better and i m also getting better to judge the width of the car. I filled the tank yesterday again with Shell and this is i tried Normal one, calculate the mileage and what i'm getting in between 10-11. I used 100% A/C on all my drive.

I hope this will improve after the 1st Service.

Congrats Wildon,
Good pictures and thats a good price you got the Kenwood vaccuum cleaner for.
Regarding slow pickup in 2nd gear, hope it imrpoves after the engine opens up. i20 is a heavy car but once past the initial 2 gears hows the pickup?

Regarding mileage- 10-11 is fine i think. Dont expect too much from a 1200 cc petrol. Maybe a 1 tick increase after service if they change oils and filters in the 1st service.
It may settle around 11-12 as the Kappa i10 owners also get similar FE's.

Wildon, the master of closeups! Great pics.

I'm sure you must have tried cutting the reflection from the fuel-tank lever.

---

3M CR 70 for front cost me approx Rs.6500.

3M RE 35 for sides and rear cost me around Rs.4000. This film kinda gives a reflection from most of the angles except if you are right in front of the glass, in which case, it is quite clear.

Look at the 2nd picture in this post -

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post1444882

Since there is no sun on the right side, it is reasonably clear. But since there is sun falling on the rear, it is nearly like a mirror.

If you look at the first picture, since there is sun falling on the left side, it is like a mirror.

If interested in 3M, talk to CATS directly in Jayanagar 9th Block (all dealers get their 3M work done from them, I wish I had known that). Talk to Sujay or Anthony. If going ahead with installation, then ask for the (applicator) Senthil to apply. He is the best they've got. In my posts, I had mentioned that the Trident guys sunfilm applicator (gautham) had messed up my sunfilm. So I visited CATS with the warranty cards and Senthil replaced it for me and did an extremely clean job.

I can't answer that directly since I don't know.

But here's some maths.

For CS70 for front and RE35 for sides and rear, Trident first quoted me Rs.7500 (i think).

When I insisted on CR70 for the front, they inquired with CATS and quoted me Rs.11500 (which I bargained down to Rs.10500). The breakup given was Rs.4000 for RE35, Rs.6500 for CR 70 for front only. (Trident did not give me an invoice for this, just the warranty cards).

Given the above info, CR70 is nearly double the price of CS70 (which is rated same as RE). With that assumption, the CR for sides and rear should also cost double (Rs.8000) of what it cost me for RE (Rs.4000).

Adding both of them up, it comes to Rs.14500.

So 14k seems about right to me. I think fulcrum got all CR installed. He'd be in better position to answer.

What I don't know is if there is a price difference for different shades.

I'd suggest do price check with some JC Road folks also who do 3M sunfilm application. Use it only to bargain with CATS, but my recommendation would be, if you go with 3M, get the work done at CATS.

Usual disclaimers apply - I have no relationship with CATS other than being their happy customer. In fact, I'm not even their direct customer.

10th aug was his last post on any thread, so I think he is AWOL.

this is his thread (there's no mention of any sunfilm here).

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ming-soon.html

I must have confused with sawyer's thread which talks about sunfilm specs at length. he talks about 3M CR film all around the car for 12K, definitely there's room for bargaining then since your quote is 14k.
