Looks like a good deal. but its a bling bling colour on a family sedan.
If you can, look for a Palio ..it has a more sporty/youthful image.

I cannot get a better car than an orange siena, talk about exclusivity and a 1.6 GTX motor. Palio 1.6s are hard to find in very low mileage examples.

I will be the sole driver for this car.

Congratulations Sidindica on your new car.
I had travelled in Jazz in Bangalore it was quite zippy and agile. I liked it very much.
Except for the pricetag nobody can a find fault with Jazz.

The orange Italian looks well-maintained. If you get around to buying it, do yourself and the car a favour by continuing to get it serviced at Samyak (now Elegant).

Sid, did you guys got a chance to put the ac's to the full test? How does it feel during mid-days? Can it pull as well as cool? And what a narration - very good job!!

AC is a chiller and the drop in performance is marginal, though you have to downshift to extract that extra grunt.
What do you expect from a motor that produces its peak power at a high 6300 rpm?

Meanwhile, I have dropped the siena idea. Simply budget constraints and still do not have that confidence to own a Fiat.
We have already spent north of 7L on jazz and I cannot afford anything new or used either.

Let me save, maybe then I may buy ethios. I just want peace of mind.

Jazz / ANHC comes with XM1 only (if michellin) and not XM1+ or any other variant in 175/65 R15. Some come equipped with Goodyear and some even in MRF. Month of manufacture on my 2010 ANHC is 3809

sidindica,

Congratulations once again for you JAZZ. I have one question about the driving position of the car. How do you find the driving position compared to a regular sedan?

I had a very brief encounter with a stationary JAZZ at the showroom. First thing that I observed that the driving position is quite similar to a tall boy model. I had to bend my ankle a bit too much to properly place my feet on the break/accelerator and clutch pedal. For a prolonged drive in bumper to bumper city traffic it might cause some inconvenience to the calf muscles. I have similar problem with my Wagon-R.

I don't see such problem with say a ANHC. Your legs are comfortably stretched such that you don't have to bend your ankle so much to properly place the feet on the pedal.

Do you also feel something like this? Appreciate your feedback on this.

There were some rumors going around about JAZZ's coming up with a 1.5L engine. Any news on that?

Thanks
VNK

Hey Sid,
Awesome review. Gets me inspired to post for my "Coming soon" Jazz. Read somewhere in the thread that you are going to get the stereo fitted with USB port. Any luck with that? Two really minor things in the Jazz that annoyed me - USB port(lack of it) and NO Remote(why?????)

Even without the 100s of features in i20, the Jazz rules the heart. It is a car to be bought with the heart and not the mind. I had done all analytics comparing i20, Jazz and Punto and surely Jazz failed in that. Yet the heart still went for it and really looking forward to it.

This is one helluva of a post. You certainly work wonders with the quill. The whole story kept me pinned to the laptop.
Congrats for the Jazz.

for the first time in 6 months, nobody was at home, so I had a good time and hence, ripped my jazz for a good 43 km trip and average howered between 9.4-9.5 kmpl.
Otherwise, the car gives 15-16 kmpl in my dad's sedate driving style.

Looks like you were revving the car pretty much to the limits hence such a low F.E.
I hope your dad's not on team BHP
