Wow! 7 SUVs, 20 people, all headed to Ladakh! Only the Indian Army can duplicate such a convoy. Including all the other trips logged here in 2009, T-BHP has sent more people there this year, than the Indian Army has...

I can already envisgage this thread going to be on the top of this section considering the real time report being updated. Now along with this update, wish some pictures too come up, it would be great fun.

Good luck to all the guys on this raid to ladhak, leave some of it for us lesser mortals too who may visit in future

Just spoke to HVK they are on schedule and will make it to Patnitop in abt 2 hrs from now.

Saw off the advance party of the Ladakh team - Dr. Mandar & Dhananjay at Delhi yesterday evening. Mandar had called me up two days ago to inform about the plan.

They were inetercepted by Anil from our Scorpio group on NH8 around 4:45 and were escorted to Dwaraka to Cafe Coffee Day where Roshun, Sridhar (a friend) and I joined up for some coffee-shoffee. After the tete-a-tete we escorted them to a link road to NH1 thus bypassing all that maddening traffic on ring road on Dhaula Kuan and further.

Left to Right: Dhananjay, ME, Anil and Dr. Mandar.

They made night haltover at karnal and this morning were headed towards Jallandhar.

Roshun came a bit late, hence not in the frame.

Had I known that HVK & team are being flagged off at 6 am this morning, I would've met them on NH8....

Dr.Mandar from Pune with Dhananjay is ahead on the road, yesterday morning near Chittaurgarh at 10 AM and Anirudh somewhere around Gwalior, he's driving up from Hyderabad, had some A/C problems and lost 4 hours of drive time. They'll all meet up at Delhi today morning, seheduled to reach Patnitop tonight and tomorrow evening / night Kargil.

Just talked to HVK; everything's going green, they are reaching Ambala, it's a 5 vehicle convoy now, Dr.Mandar up ahead and they would meet up at Jalandhar.

So much planning has gone into this event; wish them God speed and lots of fun.........

They reached on time in Patnitop @10:30pm yesterday. Lets see where they make it for today. Knowing HVK, I am sure they will be "drilled & waked & get ready" before the sun rises

Spoke to HVK, at 0845 AM, they were 15 mts away from entering Jawahar Tunnel at Bannihal. They have HVK - Scorpio, Glan - Scorpio, Dr.Mandar- Scorpio, Rajender - Pajero, Raviv - Scorpio & Basu will join in at Srinagar - Bolero. Things going perfectly as per plans.

How I wish any one of the above to be on Google Latitude, so that they could be tracked real-time as long as the connection/signal was available.
