Hi Prashanth, I met the guy anil at shiva tyres, he quoted me Bridgestone Potenza GIII 165/60 R 13 73 H for Rs.2700 per piece, HR 5 spoke alloys (silver) for Rs.3000/- per piece. League alloys (not in the shop but will get for me) for Rs.2000/- per piece. My wagon R Lxi stock (JK Tyres 145/70 R13, run 180 kms) exchange discount of Rs.1000/- per piece. Do you guys think its a good deal ? So if I go for a set of 4 with GIII with HR alloys it will be a net of Rs.Rs.18800/- and same GIII with League alloys (set of 4) will be net of Rs.14800/- (hope I am right on the calculations as I understood from his explanations) Expecting comments on this. Thanks

dude why dont you check with others dealers also. You can compare prices and see if its reasonable, there are umpteen number of reliable tyre dealers in bangalore.
Would suggest that you venture out to a few hot spots(tyre dealers) in town and get price quotes. Compare and go for the best offer.

Comparisons !!

Hi rjstyles69 and vid6639, I have been doing this comparisons day and night Monday to Sunday, 1st of April till date, but surprisingly finding lower and lower quotes as days pass and making it difficult to finalise the deal with one place. About Shiva tyres, thats the last shop i visited on recomendation from this thread and found it better than any others I checked so far.

My post was to help me finalise with user's opinions about the matter. I am sure majority of the forum members have made some changes or other on their cars. Hopefully I should be able to fix the alloys and tyres by 15th May, before I take a trip to Kerala (10 to 12 hrs drive ).

I heard from another dealer that Bridgestone Turanza ER-60 of 165/65 R13 77H doesnt fit well on the (inside portion of the tyre) of wagon R Lxi. If anyone is aware of it, Please comment. Thanks.

shaju I cant comment on the best fit of tyre specs for a WagonR and am sure other experienced members should be able to throw some light on this.
Why dont you PM iraghava and check with him ?

shaju, that's because the 165/65-13 is the wrong size. for the WagonR you need 165/60-13 just like you mentioned for the potenza G-III in your earlir post.

yup i know about his service. got 2 cars done from him so far. exemplary attitude.

I dint know about the other brands availability since he is a bridgestone performance club dealer.

he has a good stock of the bridgestones and all the equipment.

Although i found his rates for nitrogen high. for tyres he was by far the most reasonable.

Hardly surprising Vid, the dealer I prefer here is also a Performance Club, infact the first one in Delhi & stocks all brands that you want. I source Michelins/Yokohama's from him only for my cars & my friends.

Lucky b*ms , I hated this chap for his attitude when I went to him initially . Took my alto about 2 years back and wasn't convinced he was reasonable coz I found a better dealer in Sheshadripuram.
2nd time took my baleno and still dint find any change in his attitude.Had to go back to my old dealer itself and hell I dint have anything to loose coz I got a quote lesser than this chap.
Am happy !!

Well just could be my unlucky day on both the instances, let that not deter you from going to him shajufx.
BTW am thinking on a 3rd try this time around for our new car .

rj which shiva tyres are you talking about. theres actually 2 on the same road. Did you meet anil grover?

the first shop has the same name as the 2 partners had a fight and the guy wasnt ready to give up the name shiva which i think is anil's son's name.

so he opened another shop down the road opposite barista behind the petrol bunk on new bel road.

which dealer do u go to?
