rjstyles in general what I mean is most of these car shop people don't talk much or give wrong info. If we don't give the stuffs we need they won't give proper information
ravi, thats subjective. If you have charted what you need , there is no question of doubt.
When you know what you need, how is that you would buy wrong info. given by the dealer?

There is lot of difference between person to person about telling the requirement.
Exactly. I prefer kannada . LOL no offense mate.

Also most of the shop people push the brand which they make more profit.
Not all I must say.

edit : Where are the tyre experts? Iraghava and kpzen ...

Not sure. So, I was looking at a service station OR a showroom who has good idea about tyres, grips & the one which is suitable for me. I guess I have to rule out alloy wheels also, considering the bad patches of road I ride on?
Isn't your Aveo with ABS the top model which comes with 14" alloys & Hankook tyres ?

Since u daily drive on village bad roads u should get 195/60-14 tyres on stock rims which would increase the grip & also improve your car's ride quality..Aveo already has the best ride quality in its segment..
Tyre options
1.Yokohama ES100
2.Michelin XM1 - Rs3600
3.Michelin Pilot Preceda - Rs 4000
4. Potenza GIII - Rs 3800

Hi Soumo, glad to know you are almost finalising your needs and the dealer by taking enough time to compare, discuss, gather product knowledge and above all preparing yourself for a safe and economical deal. Regarding the number of alloys, I opted for a set of 4 due to the following reasons: 1. Alloys rarely get damaged, 2. the 5th tire with alloy will not fit into the place where stock rim is placed, 3. Saving few thousands by avoiding the 5th alloy, 4. Easy availability of most of the alloys in the indian market when there is a need in future. Hope that clears your doubts. A 5th alloy becomes a need when its fitted on a vehicle where its a show piece back of the hatchdoor (outside). So I would suggest not to go for a 5th one where the tire is hidden under the carpet or anywhere inside the car.

Reason why I suggested about deciding the design and model of your alloy before going to the dealer: You dont tend to leave an impression to the dealer that he can sell whatever crap he has as stock. He will give you the best and competitive rate for a person who is sure of the model and design, because majority go to the shop and chose the designs from the display and ends up buying whats available there. Just try it yourself and you will understand the difference.

Hi;
Thanks for all the inputs. Finally I have gone for League Alloys with Michelin XM1 155/65 R13 as per the advice of Super Tyre Tec, JC Road.
The Ride QUALITY and the steering of the vehicle has improved a lot after alloys and XM1, will update you later with the mileage. Have taken some snaps uploading the same.

Congrats soumo, atlast you got something very similar to mine. I think twin spokes are easily liked by anyone these days. Curious to know the pricing part and waiting for some clean pictures in day light.

Reliable and Professional Tyre Shop in Bangalore

All,

I would like to get a new set of tyres for my Accent GLS (1.6 DOHC ABS). Can somebody suggest a good dealer in Bangalore where I can sample Bridgestone and Michelin tyres and pick one of them?

Regards
Rex

I Support @greatDrive.. SAI is the best in Bangalore ( my personal opinion ..no offense..pls). Coz I've changed my car's stock tyres ( Indica Turbo ) to 195/60R14 Googyear Eagle with League alloys for an EXCELLENT price which i've never heard of when went to so many other Shops/Dealers!!!! And they are the wholesale dealer for Michelin tyres.

I second Mathem here as I too found out Sai Iyengar to be good compared to others when I enquired from where I got Michelin XM1's for my Alto. Again, it all depends on how a customer is treated by the shoppy, as it might definitely differ from individual experiences.
