Is your spare also an Amazer?

No offence, but an M800 isn't exactly a performance machine, so buying one new tyre when the existing four have done about 10000-13500kms between them isn't a big deal.

My suggestion is to buy one new tyre, put it on, and then have all four tyres rotated, balanced and aligned, and you'll be good to go.

On my way back from a long drive this weekend, I ran a flat and actually ran a couple of kms before I realised the drag. The rear left tyre of my Maruti 800 was dead. Though i pushed in the spare tyre, I noticed that the punctured tyre had torn off from the sides owing to the drive.
All current tyres on my car are stock, Apollo Amazer, the factory fitted ones.
My car has done 13500 Kms and all the tyres are of even tear. The designs are intact on them.

Question: Do I need to change all the four tyres? or .. do I change just the one that was ripped off and rotate the back tyres to the front and front to the back? ...

Please help me out with this dilema

Yes, the spare is also an Amazer .. same type.
Thank you so much GhostRider for clearing out the confusion .. I shall do as you have suggested.

This is kinda off topic. But I saw this car the other day. Must admit the owner is one noble unlucky creature. Will speak to him soon. Want to get his perspective. Any other Punto owners out there with similar issues?

Hi all , I have a mm540 for last 21 years . I always used a set of 5 tyres ,(rotating by manufacturers charts for every 10,000 km ). It gave uniform wear on each tyre . This is the third set of 4 running now.

Information of previous sets as follows.

1) the very first set ( of 5 ) that came along with new vehicle , those were MRF f 78 15 , 8 ply tyres it lasted for 55,000 km

2) second set of 5 Goodyear 7.00 X 15 12 ply rating . this lasted for 52,000 km

3) current set of 4 MRF , M77 , 7.00 X 15 .This set has covered 35,000 km . two tyres are in bad shape compared to others because of kingpin problames ( caused uneven ware )

I never used to brake hard , or drive at speeds in excess of 70 Kph.

Yours Sudarshan

I have Yokohama A539's 175/60 R13 on my Santro. It has done 38000 Kms till date and is still going strong. Had the MRF stock tyres which lasted for about 35000 Kms. The Yoko's still have some 10000 Kms left in them.

Fiat Uno :

Set no 1 : Bridgestone S248 145/80 R 13 Lasted 48 k and would have lasted more but had no grip and had become very noisy

Set no 2 : Michelin MXTE 155/80 R13 Lasted 27k kms before I sold the car

Baleno :

Set no 1 : Goodyear Eagle NCT 5 - 185/65R14 Lasted 26k, were very very noisy and 4 out of the 5 tires were replaced by goodyear under 50% discount warranty must thank them for the gesture

Set no 2 : Michelin XM1 185/65R14 - have lasted 42 k till now, will last another 10-15 k or so and going strong.

Innova :

Set no 1 : Yokohama C.Drive : 225/60 R15 have done 15 k till now. Look quite good and cannot forecast how much but they will last another 25-35k kms.

Note - All tire set included 5 tires of the same size
