I will take the delivery of my Palio Stile SLX 1.1 next week. The site reads the wheels as "5.0B x 13", while tyres as "165/80 R 13". Can someone suggest what alloys should I go for?

The dealer (B U Bhandari in Pune) tells me that a set of 5 Aura alloys will cost 23K, while FIAT's original will be something like 32K. I visited some car showroom, and they showed me alloys that cost something like 16-17K (not Aura).

I was not aware of this 98PCD thing then. Given that I opt for 98PCD, which alloys do I go for? Also is it recommend to upsize to 14? If yes, what alloys and tyres are recommended. Thanks.

14" is a good upgrade without any major drawbacks. BUT, first thing is to find out what alloys you're getting in 98 PCD in 13"/14" and then take a decision.

Without this info any advice to you would be useless.

Choombak, Aura has 14" 98 PCD alloys, though only one model (E01455) it looks pretty good, Bhpian Patchyboy has bought the same, check the pics & details here:

Best tyre upsize for 165/80 R13 would be 185/65 R14.

IMO 14" would be a little too much for a 1.1..

185/70-13 Yoko A drive, A 300 or michelin XM1 on stock rims is what i would suggest.

Finding 14" 98 PCD alloys would also be difficult.

Tyres and Alloys for Palio 1.3JTD

Hi Guys,
I have booked the Palio JTD and will probably get it in two weeks time. It comes with 165/80 R13 tyres and 5.0Bx13 wheels. I want to upgrade and also upsize these. what sizes do you people suggest?
Also what about getting this done from the dealer himself?

cheers,
Zaks

Zaks

First u need to search around in the market for 98 PCD alloys.

If u succeed in finding a good looking 98 PCD alloys then u can think of upsizing otherwise the only option is to stick with 185/70-13 tyres on stock rims.

195/55R16 is the perfect upsize @ 16 inches.

Nope Finneyp it doesn't. Here is the table:

165/80 R13: OD - 594.2
185/60 R14: OD - 577.6 Change -2.8%
185/65 R14: OD - 596.1 Change 0.3%

So, it's better you go in for the latter option.

For which car?

195/55-16 can't be fitted in a Palio

Zaks you can go in for one of the following upsize 175/65R14 or 185/60R14 or 195/60R14.. The best bet would be 185/60R14..

Perfect, but in case of Fiats u need to think of about alloys first and then comes the tires.
