Yoko = Good VFM.
Conti = Decent overall tyre. You can go in for this as well if oyu like the pattern.
Michelin = Best tyre for comfort and silence.

If someone is offering 2.4k for your 185/70 R14 Vectras, take it. It's a very good offer.

Hey buddy, a wider profile than 185 would be a 195/65/R14. I wouldn't recommend 205 as the steering will become very heavy. I am myself running on 195/60/15 Up from 185/70/14, and the steering effort has increased a noticable amount.

This size is available in bridgestone Potenza GIII.
I am running potenzas and the grip is phenomenal and hence I would recommend them. but keep in mind tyre noise is present. Its the same as my previous vectras so its acceptable to me.

Thanks buddy. Is that profile available in Michelin?. Do you ride a Ritz?. Will the tyre walls produce at 195?

Hey Nikhil,

Is 195/60/15 the right upsize for Ritz? I will be booking one this month and would like to upsize from the OE JK Vectras. I will be booking Zxi and would like to exchange the Alloys as well as the tyres. Can you suggest any good tyre shops in Bangalore? Approximately, how much can i expect for the stock tyres and rims? I would like to change them as early as possible after taking the delivery of the car ( Same day would be ideal!)

Please let me know.

185/70 R14 IS the highest profile for the Swift. It is available in Michelin XM1+. 195/65 R14 is not available in XM1+. Also, it will lower your profile and give you a worse ride quality.

195/60 R15 is the right upsize. You will not get too much for the alloys as there are very few people who will buy replacement OEM alloys. I would suggest you keep the alloys and exchange only the tyres. You can get abgout 1.4k per tyre for the OEM JKs.

Hey Nikhil,

Thanks a lot for the info. Which are the tyres that i can get in this size? I saw that Bridgestone Potenza GIII were available in this size. Are there any from Michelin in this size?
Any suggestion for the alloys? Lenzo? HR?

Please help me. I am new to all this!

Naveen

GIII is out of stock for now. You might get it after a week or so, but no guarantees from Bridgestone on that.

You get Apollo Aceleres, Yoko A drives, C drives, ES100s, Conti CPC2, Michelin Primacy LC, BS ER60, etc... Please do browse around the forum to find info on all these tyres. There is plenty of info in the forum.

Alloys, you can go for whatever you like. Lenso is definitely better than HR. HR will be much much cheaper. You can also look at SSW wheels. Stamford Sports wheels. Database Error and Welcome to Apollo Tyres

Apollo Acelere wheelz are also pretty good.

Shankar, 185/70 R14 is better for ride comfort. However, if someone wants more grip, then 195/60 R15 is the way to go not only because of the tyre size, but also due to the lovely options available in that size. You dont get the Conti CPC2 in 185/70 R14.

Nikhil, How much does Michilin Primacy LC cost? Also, how much does Conti CPC2 cost?
ANy idea how much does Lenzo alloys cost? I have seen the Samurai series. They seem good. But do you know the approximate cost?

CPC2 will be around 4.5k. Primacy LC will be around 5k. Lenso Samurai will be around 28k or so.

Thanks a lot for the info Nikhil.
I might just change from OE JKs to XM1+ owing to lack of vitamin M .
I am not even taking a loan for the car. It will be fully by cash without any loan component!

That wouldnt be too bad. Get the XM1+s in 185/70 R14. More than enough for day to day driving.
