Harit.

I love your wicked sense of humour.

Tubeless tires need to be warmed up fist before driving, that really is the best.

Now i'm gonna have to keep this in mind everyday when I start out from home!!!!!

This thread was moving at a reasonable pace, like say 1 brochure every 2 days, like a TV serial. dhrishikesh comes and bombards so many brochures and makes it look like a fast paced Jackie Chan movie

There are not enough words/ways to thank dhrishikesh for what he has done. My be tbhp should add a "Thank You" button to thank an individual and show that count on a profile

Particularly in a cold gulf state. Markets over there may be cold, but not the weather. And you do catch on quick

Cheers harit

Harit,

Hey, I thought I was only stating a point in support of your post on the subject and was not intended as a contradiction.

Sorry I misunderstood or we were saying something different. My point was, why did Merecedes Benz India supply tubed tubeless tyres? There were many wrong things Merecedes-Benz India did with the booking and deliveries of their W124 which I would only have expected of Hindustan Motors. No wonder Mercedes-Benz India went to BIFR.

Cheers harit

Ambassador Delivery Note

Hello All

New Car delivered with 2,489 KM on odo - Distance from Calcutta to Trivandrum

I found the Delivery Note and the Invoice of the Ambassador Car we bought in 1982 (sold in 1988).

See the list of items with which the car was delivered.

Marikar Motors (Trivandrum HM Dealers) must have got this form printed in the 1900s when they started operation in TVM

See the list of items they did not supply like starting handles etc (Amabssadors till Mark II had the slot in the Crank Pully to insert the Starting handle)

Incidently Marikar Motors Trivandrum held the maximum number of Ambassador Cars sold in an year for 6 years from 1974 (start of the "Gelf" Boom) They were selling about 600 - 700 cars per year at that time if I remember rightly)

Also see the state of documentation - Car was in my mothers name and the delivery note is signed by dad.

I think he had a premonition of things to happen, as registering it in mom's name saved us a lot of hassle as dad was no more within about 5 months form buying that car

Best Regards & Drive/Ride safe

Ram

Standard (UK) Cars

This one is for you Stanher (I am sure others also will like it)

The Advert is for Champion Plugs! But see the beuties in the painting. The Vanguard looks as fresh as it would have been when delivered from the factory.
