They all have the same bodywork. A Silver or Golden Special is an Li150 Special painted either silver or gold (with either a gold or silver 'special' frame badge). An SX150 has a bit of chrome along center front mudguard and a slightly different engine spec I think. Maybe you got real lucky and have a late TV175 or TV200 that look the same too, but with disc brakes and dampers on front forks.

Looks like the nice Silver Special above has a GP frame badge behind seat - I'd swap an old Italian Silver Special frame badge and holder for a LD 150 fan cover?

I believe there is a rally this sunday, the 29th!

I had the pleasure and privilege of attending a BCSC rally for the first time on sunday when I visited B'lore.

It sure was fun and also great meeting sidman, arun and some other members I knew. I guess this was also the first time I've driven a vehicle in Bengaluru!

This is the third thread I am posting this on. (My apologies moderators, I am still a newbie and I am yet to hone my search skills)

My neighbourhood mechanic informed me about a Vijay Super and a Lambretta lying in a scrap yard in a nearby village (near Belgaum). They are in bad shape and they will probably not have papers but if anyone is interested, I will be more than happy to get you through to the mechanic. He is quoting a very high price (6 thousand for each) and it probably consists of his more than generous commission.
I would have gone to the village and taken pictures for your benefit but I have my exams going on and I cannot spare the time.

Today's rally was a huge success, with over 50 scooters participating! It is heartening to see so many younger members joining us. The Rally ended at Legends Motorcycling Café & Museum, which is a great hangout for classic bike fans. We thank everyone who attended, and made this rally a resounding success! Photos:

There was a good turn out at the rally on Oct 30, 2011...around 40 scooters. There was a Vespa with a wicker-basket type sidecar. We did not have a ride due to traffic restrictions caused by the BJP Yatra and the Metallica concert. Enjoy the photos!

Hey Sidman,

I happy to note that BCSC is going strong with their rallies on the last Sunday of every month.

I am seeing the wicker-basket type side car for the first time. Guess it will offer poor protection but will make the side car very light.

Since the last Sunday of December is Christmas Day (25th), we will be having the BCSC Rally one week earlier, on Sunday, 18th of December.
Details:
9:30 am Assembly at Cubbon Park.
11:00 am Rally Start
End at Legends Motorcycling Café & Museum

Important!!!
We request that ONLY classic scooters be part of the main rally. If you are not riding a classic sccoeter, but you'd like to accompany us during the rally, please stay behind the last scooter rider.
All riders are required to wear helmets while riding.
The speed limit for this rally will be 40 kmph.
Ensure that your scooter is in good shape, with enough fuel and correct tyre pressure, and brakes fully working.
Show the appropriate hand signals when required.
We will be following a strict 2-lane system. All riders should maintain a 2 lane formation, and overtaking or trailing behind is not allowed.
When riding, maintain at least 8 feet distance from the scooter in front of you. Never overtake the scooter in front of you.

Please invite other scooter owners who would be interested in joining us.
