CIVAA is organising a 100 + 100 kms run this weekend 1.11.2015 from Nagpur to Ghodazari,near Nagbhid, a picturesque place in Chandrapur dist.

The CIVAA run of 01/11/2015. The first few photos show the cars assembling at the starting point viz. Dr Ravi Sawarbandhe's residence and hospital.Dr Ravi hails from Nagbhid and was our host for the run.He took personal care for the grand success of the run. Subsequent pictures show the cars and jeeps moving together towards the destination Ghodzari dam via Nagbhid. The total run was 118 + 118 kms from the starting point at Nagpur. All cars returned by late evening.

More pictures showing some en route halts including the halt at Nagbhid town. the cars are in a queue and the participants are taking a break here !
Most of these pictures are clicked by Mr Ajay Pandhe as I was mostly at the wheel. And while at the wheel no camera, texting, talking (on mobile).. After the Nagbhid halt comes the forest gate where the cars are queued up once again. Thereafter, begins the forest road that was pretty bad in some stretches. the last group photos are at the destination near the Ghodzari dam.

Today our Cent Ind Vintage Automotive Association (CIVAA) organised a monsoon run from Nagpur to Khindsi lake, near the temple town of Ramtek.The total trip was of 120 kms (60 + 60 kms). Starting from Nagpur at 10.00 am, we reached the spot by afternoon. After a halt at the picturesque site near the lake and a resort, we all started our return journey.
The weather was ok with the bright sun, mild showers at times and cloudy skies too.No good rains at all. We were back by 5.00 pm and only a few minutes ago at around 9.10 pm Nagpur is getting heavy showers.

Dear Anjanji - is that you in the yellow t-shirt? Your lady in black looks timeless and dignified as ever! . Is the yellow Morris a new find or is it brought recently from WB? I know that I've been guilty of mentioning many times and not doing it, () but one of these days I'm going to drive down all the way to Nagpur from Mumbai, attend your event and drive all the way back. Maybe your winter event will be perfect, no water on the road and pleasant weather. Please PM me at least a couple of months in advance!
