OK, after a long five years with N/A diesel of Indica, I'm going to move to qudrajet, pretty excited about that. Now someone please point me to some good alloy wheels/Seat covers section. Dealer is quoting 17k for set of 4 wheels of make X2 (I think korean brand).

I completed the PDI of my Fiesta today and gave a cheque for the final payment. Car had just come from the yard and looked quite dirty (heavy rains here). But everything (as much as I could check) was in perfect working condition. Body was in perfect condition. The car looked gorgeous even when dirty. :D

Registration is on Monday and delivery on Wednesday. Cant wait. Wooo hooo.

Stronghold was taking delivery of his beautiful white SXi while I was there. I managed to wring a couple of free pillows out of the dealer citing Stronghold's freebies.

I am yet to take delivery as it has not come. I came to know from dealer that the offer of free Insurance,RSA and Extended warranty has been furhter extended till 14th Nov, not sure thou. At the same time he also mentioned that there is a price increase since yesterday (Nov 7th 2009).
Now thats surprising, why a sudden increase in price? Can anyone confirm if they have found out? You know how dealers make vague statements orally.

If I feel the price hike is very high, if I cancel my booking will they refund the entire booking amount. Since they didn't give a vehicle in my choice of color as its been more than 2 weeks now, thats not my fault right. At the time of delivery, booking prices will be applicable or current prices will be applicable. Please advice, thou its mentioned in the receipt that it would be prices during delivery. Any counter points to negotiate on.

@samsan02: The price on the date of invoice (i.e. when Fiat sells the car to the dealer, the date of this invoice) is applicable. Same date is applicable for discounts and other schemes.

Did the dealer promise you delivery in 2 weeks? If yes, you can fight your case. Else if there has been a price increase you will have to bear it.

What is the colour issue?

Thanks @Ferrari1976 for the info. Yes he did promise 2 weeks delivery , but ofcourse no one gives that in writing right. Anyway lets see how it works out. Color I was interested in was Blue and he didn't have one readily available when I booked. Its my first car right :) so felt choice of color should be worth the wait:D

Congratulations on your buy. I have seen reports on a Safari having rust under the body, so since this is again a Tata product, I suggest you check under the body as well for any indications of rust.

thanks mate. Did a cursory underbody check, but will do a detailed check before the delivery. Will be going for a underbody anti-rust coat soon, but not from showroom.

IMO the current trend has become either Punto/the new 1.6sFord Fiesta. Are people going back to hatch and medium sedans

Its not the question of going back to medium buys..
Currently after recession; these cars are one of the best things money can buy..
And if FIAT launces the new engines in punto.. there will be no stopping!! ;)

My car is arrived yesterday in showroom. but dealer said to me that RTO is close from 12 Nov to 15 Nov.
so i will get my car after Monday. really RTO is closed in between 12 Nov to 15 Nov?
