BMW 5 Series '50 Jahre M Edition' launched in India

The BMW 5 Series '50 Jahre M Edition' is based on the 530i trim.

BMW has announced the launch of the 5 Series '50 Jahre M Edition' in India. The car is priced at Rs 67.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

BMW’s range of 50 Jahre M Editions celebrates the 50th anniversary of the M Division. The special edition 5 Series gets a host of cosmetic add-ons including the M emblem and a '50 Years of M' door projector inspired by the classic BMW Motorsport logo. The car also comes with the M Sport package with gloss black kidney grille and exhaust tips.

The 5 Series '50 Jahre M Edition' gets 18-inch jet black alloy wheels with red M Sport brake calipers and is available in four colour options: M Carbon Black, Bermina Grey Amber Effect, Phytonic Blue and Alpine White.

Inside, the 5 Series '50 Jahre M Edition' comes equipped with Sports Seats with leather covers, seat belts with stitching in M colours, a sporty leather steering wheel, ambient lighting, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 4-zone automatic climate control.

The 5 Series '50 Jahre M Edition' is based on the 530i trim. It is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 248 BHP @ 5,200 rpm and 350 Nm @ 1,450-4,800 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

BMW is offering optional accessory packages with the 5 Series. These include the Racer's Package that adds black side skirts, matt black rear spoiler and key fob. The Motorsport Package comes with carbon fibre ORVMs and the Carbon Package adds a carbon kidney grille rear spoiler and mirror caps.
