Citroen eC3 Aircross electric SUV caught testing in India

The eC3 Aircross is expected to compete with the Tata Nexon EV Max, MG ZS EV and the likes.

Citroen took the wraps off the C3 Aircross last month. While we are still waiting for the price announcement, the all-electric version of the SUV has been spotted testing in India.

A heavily camouflaged test mule of what is believed to be the eC3 Aircross was spotted in Chennai. To the untrained eye, it might look like a regular C3 Aircross. However, upon closer inspection, you will realize that the car does not have an exhaust. There also seems to be a battery module mounted underneath the vehicle.

The eC3 hatchback uses a 29.2 kWh battery pack, offering an ARAI-certified range of 320 km. It powers a front-mounted electric motor that develops 56 BHP and 143 Nm. Given its larger dimensions, the eC3 Aircross could be offered with a more powerful electric motor and a larger battery pack.

When launched, the eC3 Aircross is expected to compete with the Tata Nexon EV Max, MG ZS EV and the likes.
