The Honda WR-V has been awarded a 1-star safety rating by Latin NCAP. The crossover scored 16.41 points and 19.92 points for adult and child occupant protection, respectively.
As per the test report, the protection offered to the driver and passenger's head and neck was good, while the car offered adequate chest protection. The knees of the front occupants showed marginal protection. Driver tibias showed adequate protection, and passenger tibias showed good protection. The footwell area and bodyshell were rated as stable.
The WR-V offered good protection to the head, abdomen and pelvis in the side impact test. But chest protection was marginal.
The child seat for the 3-year-old dummy was able to prevent excessive forward movement of the head in the frontal impact test. The child restraint system (CRS) offered good protection during the side impact test.
The WR-V scored 28.23 points for pedestrian protection. The test car was equipped with 2 airbags, ESC, Seat Belt Reminder and ISOFIX.
