Mercedes-Benz to launch CLA 45 AMG on July 22

German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz has announced that it will launch the CLA 45 AMG in India on July 22, 2014 at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida. The launch of the car comes just six months after the 2014 Auto Expo, where it made its India debut.

The CLA 45 AMG is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, petrol engine that produces a 355 bhp and 450 Nm of torque. The company claims that this is the 'world's most powerful 4-cylinder series production engine' and can propel the car from 0 to 100 kph in 4.6 seconds and a limited top speed of 250 kph. The car has an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

To distinguish the CLA 45 AMG from the regular CLA, Mercedes has given it more aggressive bumpers, a new grille, wheels and badging. Coming to the interior there is an AMG steering wheel, instrument cluster and racing seats. Additionally, the CLA 45 AMG is loaded with equipment and safety & drive assist features.

The CLA 45 AMG could be the most affordable model from the AMG stable to be sold in India.
