The 2024 Ninja ZX-6R is powered by an updated 636cc, inline-4 engine that now complies with BS6 emission regulations.

Kawasaki India has kicked off the new year with the launch of the Ninja ZX-6R. The updated supersport is priced at Rs 11.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

The 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R features revised styling with dual headlamps and an aggressive-looking fairing. It now comes with a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and riding modes. The bike is available in two colour options – Metallic Graphite Grey and Lime Green.

The 2024 Ninja ZX-6R is powered by an updated 636cc, inline-4 engine that now complies with BS6 emission regulations. It produces 128 BHP and 69 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a quickshifter.

The Ninja ZX-6R is equipped with an adjustable Showa SFF-BP front fork and a monoshock at the rear. The braking setup consists of dual 310 mm discs at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear.

Kawasaki India has announced the launch date for the Ninja ZX-6R. Prices for the middle-weight supersport will be announced on January 1, 2024.

The new ZX-6R features an adjustable Showa front fork and an adjustable Showa mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by twin 320 mm discs paired with new Nissin 4-piston calipers at the front and a 220 mm rear disc.

The bike gets a quick-shifter, 4.3-inch digital instrument console with Bluetooth and three riding modes: Sport, Road and Rain, while safety features include traction control and Kawasaki Intelligent Anti-lock Brake System.

Rumour: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R to be launched by year-end

According to a media report, Kawasaki is likely to launch the updated ZX-6R in India by the end of this year.

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R was discontinued after the BS6 emission norms came into effect. With the Euro5 version already on sale globally, Kawasaki is expected to bring the updated bike to India.

However, it now complies with the BS6.2 norms, with peak output rated at 127 BHP and 69 Nm, slightly lower than the old version. Kawasaki debuts Euro5-compliant Ninja ZX-6R; India launch likely

The 2024 Ninja ZX-6R gets revised valvetrain, intake system and other mechanical updates.

Kawasaki has showcased the updated Ninja ZX-6R for the European market. The supersport bike is now Euro5-compliant and reports suggest that it could be introduced in India as well.

The 2024 Ninja ZX-6R is powered by the same 636cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine as before. However, Kawasaki has made some changes to the valvetrain. The engine now gets revised cam profiles that are said to improve low-end grunt.

The injectors have also been tuned for better efficiency, while the pistons get molybdenum coating to reduce friction The new Ninja ZX-6R gets a revised intake system, featuring a 5.09-litre airbox and redesigned intake funnel. It also gets a new header and collector pipe.

The new ZX-6R features an adjustable Showa front fork and an adjustable Showa mono-shock at the rear. Braking is handled by twin 320 mm discs paired with new Nissin 4-piston calipers at the front and a 220 mm rear disc.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R launched at Rs. 10.49 lakh

Kawasaki has launched the MY2020 Ninja ZX-6R at a price of Rs. 10,49,000 (ex-showroom).

The new Ninja ZX-6R based on an aluminium frame. It measures 2,025 mm in length, 710 mm in width and 1,100 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 1,400 mm and the seat height is 830 mm. The bike's kerb weight is 196 kg and it comes with a 17-litre fuel tank.

The Ninja ZX-6R features twin LED headlamps, an LED tail light and a digital instrument panel with an analogue tachometer. It rides on 41 mm inverted fork suspension with 120 mm of travel at the front and a monoshock at the rear offering 151 mm of travel. The bike comes with a single seat and a side-mounted exhaust.

Powering the Ninja ZX-6R is a 636cc, in-line 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 134 BHP @ 13,500 rpm thanks to a RAM air intake and peak torque of 70.8 Nm @ 11,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission via a slipper clutch. Braking is handled by twin 310 mm petal type discs with 4-piston calipers at the front and a single 220 mm petal disc at the rear. Other features include ABS, traction control and Kawasaki Quick Shifter, which allows clutchless upshifts.

The MY2020 Ninja ZX-6R will be assembled in India. It is available in a single colour option - Lime Green with Ebony and Metallic Graphite Gray.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R pre-bookings open

Earlier this year, there were rumours about Kawasaki homologating the Ninja ZX-6R for India. The Japanese bike maker has now announced pre-bookings of the Ninja ZX-6R. Customers can pre-book the bike by paying an amount of Rs. 1,50,000 and the bookings will be open only till November 30, 2018.

The Ninja ZX-6R is based on an aluminium frame and measures 2,085 mm in length, 706 mm in width and 1,115 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,394 mm and it weighs 194 kg (kerb weight). The Ninja ZX-6R is a supersport bike featuring twin sweptback LED headlamps with a triangular vent in the centre. It has a split seat and a single side-mounted exhaust. It comes with a digital instrument panel as well as a large analogue tachometer. 

The bike is powered by a 636cc, liquid-cooled, in-line 4-cylinder engine that makes 129 BHP @ 13,500 rpm and 71 Nm of peak torque @ 11,500 rpm. With an optional ram air intake, power is bumped up to 135 BHP. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The Ninja ZX-6R comes equipped with 41 mm Showa inverted forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Brakes come in the form of twin 310 mm petal type discs with 4-piston Nissin calipers at the front and a single 210 mm disc at the rear with a 1-piston caliper.

Some of the other features offered on the bike include ABS, traction control and Kawasaki Quick Shifter.

The Ninja ZX-6R will be assembled locally and deliveries will commence post January 2019.

According to a media report, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has been undergoing homologation testing at ARAI, which suggests that the bike could be launched in India.

The Ninja ZX-6R will be positioned in the supersport segment. It is based on an aluminium frame and measures 2,085 mm in length, 706 mm in width and 1,115 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 1,394 mm and the seat is set at a height of 831 mm. The bike weighs 194 kg (kerb weight) and comes with a 17-litre fuel tank.
