Stereo bluetooth headset will not work for the iPod.
The alpine iPod interface is the cheapest interface that offers control options and decent quality. Other 3rd party interfaces like H/K drive and play will cost 15000/- here.

@ muni: faster iPod connection via Alpine’s third-generation KCE-422i Full Speed™ Connection for iPod cable. Wont this work with your HU?

If your model is not listed in their list get the 420i. The 422i requires ipod control software to be on the HU and is just a cable the 420i has it built into it.

If you can spend between 5 to 6K, get a 6" component set. Get mounting rings, mount the 6" mid bass in the front doors. Mount the tweeter near the A pillar. Disconnect the 4" speakers and you will have fuller richer sound.
sam, somehow i am not comfortable with fixing speakers on doors. and i dont think it will either with the power window console present. is there any other option for me ?? is it not possible to install mid bass somewhere in the dashboard ???

In the stock location on the dashboard, you can only fit a 4" speaker. I believe one or 2 brands still have a 4"component system. That then is your only choice, unless you feel like chopping up your dash.

Power window console will not interfere with 6.5" components. You can even go for 3 way components without effecting power windows in esteems.

All the speaker manufacturers recommend using the doors as the primary locations for speakers.

I think the next iPod will definitely have built in bluetooth, that will make it compatible with a lot of new gizmos.

I will now shed light on the names of the babies.

Littlle trouble_makkers?
