It's almost like a v6 engine of 1960 and a v6 of today.

PS2 was launched in it's normal form some years before. And it was a cute piece of thing to own at that time. Later, as gadgets started to get small everywhere, Sony launched Ps2 Slim which was only half the size of the former and had every feature the first one had.

Get yourself a Slim and a nice power adapter. I have one in my Alto.

a friend of mine had bought a PS2 Slim and is not able to play pirated dvd...
i belive some mod chip needs to be installed...
would like to know howmuch will it cost and where can i have it done in bangalore...

Wats the cost of PS2 slim. Simple PS2 costs around 9K i think. Though i checked PSP was kool. Price is 13K. Is PSP worth 13K.

@revtek....ps2 is a better option as u can chip the ps2 or get an already chipped ps2...i bought my slim ps2 for 8k......

IT would be worth going in for a psp if it is modded...noramlly only the v1.0 can get modded so on that you can load and play games for free....otherwise the versions that have just come out cant be modded so each game would be for around 2000/- which is not worth it.

Dude,go in for the XBox..I have it and love it..have even played PS2,but certainly,the graphics of the Xbox is much better.
Previously,people used to buy the PS2 because of the wide selection of games available,but now,the gap of the games variety between the PS2 and the XBox is almost nil..
Plus,with the XBox 360 already into the scene,prices of the Xbox are gonna fall.
A small suggestion - if your friend can wait for another month and can extend his budget,WAIT AND BUY THE PS3..it's supposed to be much better even than the XBox 360.

ive got a chipped playstation and it still doesnt play dvd's...so find out before doing these mods

Chipped PS2s can't play pirated DVDs (atleast not the ones i've seen). They've only been chipped for playing pirated games.

Buy a DVD player, instead of spending on the PS2. Kept it exclusively for gaming.
