After some Research I found the Company that has made this "Hyundai Continental Flying Spur", that is Mumbai based UT-Cars.

Check out their Website:

DISCLAIMER I: I have just Quoted the Ad. while saying it is a "Bentley".
DISCLAIMER II: I would rather hit the Car, it's Owner or even the Modders but we don't have an Emoticon like that so I'll stick with the "Dead Horse"

Look what I found on CarWale.
One more Car made by UT-Cars.
This one's supposedly a 1999 Mercedes Benz C-Class.

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Whoa Whoa Whoa!! What a way to absolutely murder an otherwise good looking Beat.

Few points to be noted here:
  • Sports car with door visors? Whatever happened to aerodynamics?
  • If the FE is claimed as 20, probably its the original 1.2 Beat engine. 180 kmph?
  • Look at the way the doors wobble when they are opened. Looks extremely flimsy and fragile.
  • Horrendous way to add a few cheap after-market accessories and call it a sports car. Forget about the glam, it might even turn out to be risky!!
  • Even if he has used parts from various OEMs, (which by itself screams "unreliable"), at least the chassis, body, engine, and basic mechanicals and interiors are chevy? All this for 1 lac?
  • Just one lug nut? How on earth are the wheels going to hold at anything above strictly city speeds?
  • Does he by any chance plan to mass produce and sell this? What a recipe for disaster!!

Don't get me wrong. I do appreciate some mechanic trying to innovate along these lines. But obviously he needs better education in this respect or he might end up injuring himself or somebody else.

Its a modified Nano !! Only the headlights are from the Beat. Look at the horrifyingly thin cycle tires on it.

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

I can't stop laughing at the way the news person compares that car to a Ferrari costing "1 crore". Seriously??? This is the quality of television news channels we have in our country. Pity!!

About the Ferrari'fied Nano, it looks more like the mechanic has fitted the body of an 800 with the lights of a Beat and some other parts of random cheap cars. The keyless entry thing is quite cool though given the conditions its built in with the level of expertise. The rest of the car is posted in the most apt thread for it.

One thing that has left me a little confused is that how does this car (if it is actually a Nano underneath) reach a top speed of 180km/hr and how on Earth is it managing on one lug nut per wheel?? Was the mechanic in F1 prior to this??

Donor car is not nano which can be seen clearly. Most probably it is 800.

Even the taillights are from those of Beat. Plus, the interiors look more like those of Beat than Nano. And the doors.

Its an 800 with parts ranging from the Beat to even the Matiz. I love the narration describing the car and best of all calling it the "Desi Ferrari". The doors opening look like a seagull ready to fly. This car should be the given the award of weird and wacky mod job in India.
