I doubt if Rahane is eyeing anything. Most new MO guys start at #5 or #6 (Pujara, Kohli, Dravid, Tendulkar etc).
Situations change, but I would be glad if you let me know from which post you took that quote of mine, because the context would be interesting. And do not mix past quotes with the present please.

You can click on the small right pointing triangle following your name in the quote - that will take you to whatever post of yours is being quoted.

The excitement around IPL seems to be comparatively getting lesser, ever since its inception. The IPL buzz seems to have completely died down, this year.

Time for some masala cricket once again.

How i wish today's match wasn't a warm-up game! I just hope Dinesh Kartik has some runs left to score in the main competition.
Also good to see Rohit Sharma back to his usual ways!

Vindoo Singh gets bail & Australia is bowled out below 100 - Suspicious !

Haha
Was following the match at intervals and was shocked to see 308 on the score board after some 70-5 when I last saw.

Went out for some time after the 1st innings, and on return, when I saw the match was almost over.

Let's see what we have in store during the tournament stage.

Another easy win for India in the CT '13.

Dhawan looking good throughout and seems like he is cementing his place in the side. Give a thought to Viru and Gambhir.

Nice to see Dhawan leaving 5 balls in the over to give Dinesh Karthik the strike for the next over and also a chance for him to score the half century. Speak about team-work!

Don't think its teamwork. Its a mere 50, not a historical landmark like Kumble's ten wicket hall when Srinath bowled slow and wide deliberately.

This chasing the milestones is what actually breeds selfishness. We should learn from the Aussies about putting the team over anything else...

Is India through to the Semi finals? Is there a chance for Pakistan yet? I think this team that they have now is good and almost all of the batsmen are in their form after playing the IPL matches. Hope team India carries through and eventually clinch the title.

India is through to semi finals and Pakistan is out. India-Pakistan encounter is a dead rubber.

I beg to differ.
With 15 overs to go and no net run rate scenario as india would qualify for semis with a win dhawan showed good team spirit by letting kartik reach his 50.

Yes, its a 50 and not 100 and that too in an odi but it was significant for kartik as he is making a comeback in indian team and everyone knows these days how tough it is for someone to cement a spot in top 5 in our team, specially if he is not a Dhoni favorite.
Easier said that its chasing milestones but you or me in kartik's place would have wanted the same. Basic human nature.

Talking about Aussies they are already on back foot losing early wickets in today's match. Hoping for a NZ win who have improved a lot in Odi's.

Anytime SA posts a low score or loses (specially in big tournaments) that's what we say. I do not think its fair on them.

BTW I feel England are a terrific side and I was hoping India dont face them in the semis atleast!

It looks like England would be making the Finals.

The problem is that they often do this in big tournaments where the pressure of winning is higher than in case of a bilateral series. Hence is their tag.
