This is one of the important factors which all participants (men and machines) will be battling against during the 2 gruelling days during the actual TPC 2010. The heat can break the machines (overheating engines), the sweat can break the men (dehydration). Please do put up a detailed report, with pics and videos. TPC is a team Event and Recovery is a sure test of team work. Each Team of 3 Vehicles and 6 Participants can carry any recovery gear, I would suggest each Team have at least 1 Winch equipped vehicle. The Rules Pertaining to Recovery Situations. i) The Recovery has to be done with in the time limit for each SS. ii) Negative Points only for unsafe recovery techniques. a) No Gloves b) No Cable Dampers c) Snatching/Jerking the Cables/Ropes iii) Team Which are helped by the Organizers, physically (Winching Towing/Recovery Gear) will not be in contention for the TPC trophy. If there is more than one team which required physical assistance from the O-Team, then there will be Negative Points. Last year (TPC09) the Competitors were allowed to winch and tow their team mates through the SS. This year (TPC10) the Competitors CANNOT winch or Tow their Team Mates through the Special Stages (Obstacles) They can tow their Team Mates from One SS, to another, and can recover their Team Mates, who get stuck while attempting the obstacles at each SS (3-5 Obstacles) as many times they wish within the time limit (18-30 minutes per SS) Regards, Arka PS - The Videos are from TPC09 Last edited by ex670c : 2nd July 2010 at 14:30. | |
