Trepedors don't come in this size.. I've checked all over!! The only 16" size They're availabl;e in are 35x12.50R16. Source:M8060 Trepador

16" wheels have very limited choices..

Maxxis Bighorns 245/75/R16 are the best suited (If you can find them in 16").

Also try Goodyear G90 - they come in 7.00 x 16 and 7.50 x 16. I'm using them on my Jonga but haven't got much on/off road time on them

cheers..
Prasad

Maxxis Bighorns/Geolandar M/Ts

Am looking to change the tyres on my 540 and need to get in touch with someone preferably in Mumbai/Delhi for a set of Maxxis Bighorns or Geolandar M/Ts.
Any preference on which ones would server our purpose better? Usage would be usually Sand/Slush terrains in Gujarat and the annual EXAMM trip wherever the EXO takes us!

About size
1) 31x10.5R15
2) 31x11.5R15
When would be one chosen over the other?

Price:
What will be the damages? Would any of these dealers be willing to truck the tyres down to Ahmedabad?

Cheers,
Adi

@Sreejesh: go for Maxxis trepadors if they come in that size. They fit all your requirements perfectly.
Hi Sreejesh,

The Best bet for a medium WB Jeep is not the 7.00X16; it is the 7.50X16.

Try Speedway Tyres 7.50X16 Military Pattern (NDMS), it will work well with the OEM Rims.

Arka

But this Load king pattern looks good and I think this will be ok for my need. Any idea about the price ? and I am not sure about the availability of this tyre in kerala.

Hi Sreejesh,

Did you contact Speedways directly?

Also the load king pattern is very stiff (12-16ply).

Arka

Arka,

I contacted them by mail and surprisingly they send me their entire range! and price list (and an Invitation to their stand in the AgriTech India 2010 exhibition which will be held in Gayathri Vihar, Palace Ground, Bangalore.!!).

I am attaching the pdf of their tire range.I am not sure about posting the price list so I am not.)
Folder Domestic.pdf

But the point is I couldn't find a budget tyre !.

Or else I will resole my Scorpio tire (235/70/R16) (Which I ready done on my Cj500 and its performing well both on road and off road )and use with the army rim keep the OEM rim and NDMS for any serious off roading If I got a chance with you Bhpians.

no!!
gypsy rims are 15inch.
you need to change wheel to 16 inch one or get 15 inch tyre.
235/80/r15 will be more or less same as 235/75/r16. (Dia)
