Good for you guys! Bombay and Bangalore metro don't allow, however, Bombay local trains do allow (have taken it several times). I do hope the metro lines in these cities learn from these guys and allow cycles atleast on specific compartments/time periods/etc.

Apparently, Nagpur metro allows cycles on specific compartments - I have heard from a friend (don't have first-hand information though). Trust someone who's from that city can confirm that.

With summer really kicking in, taking the bike out in the morning is quite a challenge. And Singapore is extremely humid throughout the year. Maybe should try and do 4am-5am start from next weekend.

Same problem here. By 10am we are reaching temps around 32c. By evening 40 and it's just March yet. Waking up really early morning isn't my forte. Somehow I muster a walk at 8am and that's it.. by the time I return I'm sweating. I gotta make drastic changes in my morning schedule if cycling needs to be continued without break.

Two weeks back we did a trip to Morgaon and this was my first 100Kms ride. We started the Dive ghat climb at 6:00am and climbed the ghat non-stop. Reached Morgaon around 9:00am. Had the darshan, breakfast and then started the return journey.

Onward journey to Morgaon was quick. The return journey was tough with sun already blazing. Descent from Diveghat was simply awesome.Reached Diveghat startpoint at 12:30pm and completed the ride.

Went for a 100K(first in NL) over the weekend, and regretted it.
Weather was predicted to be cooler than usual, but didn't expect it to go sub-zero. Snowing almost through the route. My fingers and toes faced the brunt of the cold. After a point, couldn't feel them at all.
Pictures weren't great mostly because we couldn't hold our phones properly.

Impressive! What gear do you use for cycling at those temperatures? In the past with good gear, I found riding in such temperatures/weather much manageable although the real irritation for me was with sleet than the snow.

Winter Thermal cycling wear from Decathlon is the usual attire for the cold rides. I got a couple of sets after we moved. But I made the mistake of wearing normal socks this weekend. Managing the snow shower was ok, but the cold got the better of me. Initial loss of feeling and then the biting began.

Been getting out a few times a week again for approx hour-long rides.

Seeing the great variety of riding & destinations / loops many of you are able to do, I REALLY wish I could go in more than two directions on two roads... also could wish for some flatter stretches! Gets a little boring (and grueling) but I guess I shouldn't complain

Lacking that road variety, it is really mainly off-road riding that feels inspiring here. That requires more of a time commitment, and there, too, trail options are (surprisingly) very limited as of now... and you still have to climb like mad, regardless!!!
