We usually have Yoga sessions on Friday, but due to onset of monsoon in Pune, the garden where we usually do our yoga practice was drenched, hence today's session was cancelled. Today's cancelled Yoga Session culminated into this monsoons first ride. In company of my friend with his brand new Wilier GTR Team Carbon bike, that we picked from Bandra (Mumbai) last week. That bike is amazingly fast. What an awesome experience, simply superb

Very nice! Reminded me when back in 2015 I had borrowed a relative's Bianchi for short rides around their town in NY upstate.



Don't remember the model, but it was a steel frame with very aggressive geometry and atleast 2 decades old iirc.

Today morning did a ride to Kamshet along with my friend. Met IAS (Indo Athletic Society) cyclists enroute. Awesome weather with light drizzle. Had Chai-Poha at Bholebaba Dhaba after Kamshet ghat. On the return ride, encountered heavy showers at Vadgaon and Talegaon.

Same here. I prefer the rains any time over the summer heat or winter chill. Only pain is that you need to clean the muck after the ride. Another challenge for me is to avoid the muddy water splashing on my glasses. Hence I prefer riding in low to medium intensity rains where the rain water keeps cleaning the glasses, the body and the bike.

True ninjatalli. I was just waiting for the rain Gods to start pouring. I am surely not going to miss out even a single weekend. The Western ghats have started blooming.

Sunday morning ride before the family activities start. This is the best time to ride, IMO, because of very less traffic. No respite from the hills though.

Not a day trip per se, but my first joyous ride. I had to run an errand, and riding time to my destination was comparable to transit. Took advantage of the beautiful weather

Summer felt like summer today, finally. Ventured out middle of the day and it was proper warm. After many stop lights, crossings and heavy traffic reached an old favorite spot on one of the beautiful trails.

Spent last weekend at Lonavala and naturally took the foldie along with me. Managed to get a nice easy breezy cruising ride around the wider Lonavala area in pouring rain, with a nice hot filter coffee at Ramakrishna along the way.

Sorry for the poor quality of some of the pics which were during the ride - they were taken with the phone inside a rainproof pouch.

Just super convenient to bungee this to the third row seat. Its permanently in either one of my cars typically.


At the bungalow we stayed at. The Brommie looks right at home amongst all the greenery and landscaping.

Beautiful foggy and misty western ghats. Always a pleasure to be out in the hills during MH monsoons. I’m hoping to get a lot more drives and rides in over the next few months. The further out I can go the nicer it’ll be.

Beautiful scenery. I used to enjoy this when traveling Mumbai Pune on the train sitting on the steps during college days. Would be wonderful on a bicycle sans the winds.

Lovely photos of riding in the rain, guys. These days (especially over the weekends) it's a struggle for me every morning to pick between the choice of running and cycling. Especially, given how amazing Bangalore looks early morning with minimal or no traffic and very light drizzles, the running bug has been winning over the cycle. Haven't taken out the cycle for a while but I'm loving it running across the empty streets or the parks of Bangalore. But it's only when I come to this thread, I feel I'm missing something.

Yours and AutoIndians bikes are exact same models? After I saw his bike I was tempted and looked for used Scotts around here but they are a rarity. Markets are swamped with Cannondale and Specialized. Looks great, understated. I like it!
