Sunday morning. Fulfilled my son's long pending ask for a full 50km ride with him.
He got very tired at 40k, but surprisingly he pushed a little more and made it. First 50KM ride for him.

Many congratulations to you and your son aneezan for completing his maiden 50km ride. These 50K, 100K are mental barriers. Till the time you cross them, these seems to be herculean tasks, but once you go beyond them then they look like a cakewalk

The rain gods in Pune opened up for a change after pouring continuously for 2 weeks. 3 of us had earlier decided to ride upto Kondeshwar temple, Jambhivli but then other 2 dropped due to personal reasons. I decided to have a short ride and head to Kunda Mala, Dehuroad to get a glimpse of Indrayani river in rainy season. I was not disappointed. River was overflowing to its brim. Encountered spell of rains in between. Fortunately it opened up for 20 mins when I was at Kunda Mala, hence could take pics and shoot videos. This is one of my favorite spots, be it any season.

Took her out for a century ride this morning, beautiful weather, except for strong winds.

Had a dull weekend that continued up till Monday afternoon and then it suddenly cleared up. Went on my regular route and extended over a gravel section. Not comfortable on thin 25mm road spec tyres but got good photos!

Today our 7 member gang of cyclists went on a monsoon ride to Paud via Sus, Nande, Chande, Ghotawde Phata, Ambadvet, Daravli. It was a super fun ride with awesome weather. Rains were lashing us every now and then. Green paddy fields, small water streams and waterfalls made us felt so refreshed and energetic. To top it we had sumptuous breakfast. The ride was ending at around 75km mark but two of us made a detour to Dehuroad & Talegaon to make it a century ride.

Today was another rainy day and only 3 of us made the ride to Kondeshwar Waterfalls & Shiva temple (104km). This Kondeshwar Waterfalls and Shiva Temple is truly mesmerizing, especially in this rainy season. It's just 40kms from Dehuroad, take right diversion from Kamshet. So many rivers, streams, Waterfalls and dams on this route. Road is also good. You will definitely enjoy. Last 1 km from Jambhivli village to the temple we were riding in clouds. I could not see my fellow cyclist who was just 50 meters ahead of me.

Low clouds, strong winds, rolling hills around Nandi and green environs in rural Bangalore, made this morning ride thoroughly enjoyable. So much so that I didn't want to stop to click more pictures.

Same pinch Your Scott looks so clean. Here within 5 mins into the ride my bike attracts all the road muck, not that it is bike's fault, but here the rains are continuing to lash the city & its outskirts. However I am not complaining. Rain makes the ride all the more fun.

Not quite a day trip, but an enjoyable ride, nonetheless: A 7-km ride with my son, around the place we live. The backroads have been dug up for reconstruction: it made for some nice, light off-road riding.

This is my 7th consecutive day of riding. 175 miles/ 280 kms covered in these 7 days. Planning to continue this streak for as long as possible. Here's a photo from the ride yesterday, of my usual favorite spot. Today's 25 mile loop was my fastest in a while, averaging 18.2mph / 29.3 kmph. The new Rene Herse 32mm tires may have something to do with that.

Tomorrow I am going to try a different loop. I think I have exhausted all the segments' Local Legend badges on this loop

Went on a gravel trail nearby and was surprised that there is a lake next to it. I think this will be my another "go-to" place on the bike going forward!
