Hmmm... and with the money you lost in two car crashes, I could have built myself an uber high end system with an Audison VRx amp running Class A, a Mille MLK2 comp set and a McIntosh MX5000 HU.

KB you got me very confused. First you start with a 30-50K stereo system then you get a 1L amp and have not decided on the speakers yet....

1. Set Budget and Need
2. Allocate Budget to various components HU, Amps, Speakers
3. Listen to Various HUs using one reference speaker/amp combo
4. Repeat for Speaker
5. Repeat for Amp.
repeat steps 3-5 till you have a combo you like...

for example I first chose my HU. Then my amps and speakers. Now when I upgrade or look to upgrade I listen to the NEW component in you ar in my system. My installer will do this for me. I dro the car of in the morning. GO to work. She fits the new component in while i am working. I take a listen in the afternoon and by evening either i got the new component or the old one. The only thing you cant change this way is a custom sub.

Let me help,

1. Set Budget and Need ? well? kb you need to answer it !
2. Allocate Budget to various components HU, Amps, Speakers
3. HU: Pioneer P80RS ( confirmed I think)
4. Speaker: 2 ID sub bought, rest ???
5. Repeat for Amp.; A great 4 channel + sony 444 + PA275.
6. Wiring kit etc...bought

When will this come to an end?

what is the 444 doing with a Tru Tech? Even the 275 is a misfit given that it can't drive 2 ID subs and is a mediocre fullrange amp so at best it could be used for the rear.

When you have a Tru Tech what is the budget for the speakers? I am really confused here....below ScanSpeak, Hertz Mille and Rainbow I can only think of Focal 165 W3; even Polk Momo, Alpine Type X/R, Infintiy Perfect etc.. seem too ordinary in comparision.

think Mille is out for now coz of $$$ reason and so would be the smaller amps coz of teh mismatch. MAybe he can use it for rear fills. The Tru would be riding the IDs

hmmmmm

Ok....

1. Set Budget and Need ? well? kb you need to answer it !
Started with need for better sound - and budget of 5 k for a component ... then all of you said I need a amp to drive that - and scoffed at my poor faithful 222 .. and SIX months later - HERE I AM!!

3. HU: Pioneer P80RS ( confirmed I think)

Yup!... I am told its on its way!! - Should get here by the 29th/30th

4. Speaker: 2 ID sub bought, rest ???

Yup... TWO iDQ 10's bought ... Boxes being designed and built by Gunbir & JB .

5. Repeat for Amp.; A great 4 channel + sony 444 + PA275.

Yup.. the Tru with a Sony 222 (not 444) + Blau PA 275 .. All bought/available

6. Wiring kit etc...bought

Yup...all Audison -- all of 20 k worth!

7. Front Stage:

MOstly a Hertz two/threeway - I want nice upfront mid-bass - which should integrate well with the sub... Debate is on whether to go in for a cheaper two way .. then ungrade to high end DYN/Seas range 3 ways in December? ... or to go in for a three way (no "cheap" options there though! - which Is why I was wondering if I should go active.. In which case I need a Better HU that can do 4 way active - this one can do only 3 way active.. Cost difference between HU's about 20k.. In addition will need ANOTHER 4 Channel amp... all More $$$ - so maybe three way Passive is cheaper after all - which brings us back to square ONE - two way passive now and three way passive later? - or siince I have TWO subs better to do threeway now for better integration/balance??!

8 : Rears :

Same brand Coaxials... Or will go witht he Hertz/Id co-axials

When will this come to an end?

When solutons are obtained and installed!

The 275 may have to go... or may drive the rear... or may pick up another one to drive the rears.. RSJ has PROHIBITED me from even THINKING about using HU amp..

NAvin.. Does SS have a distributor in India??.. Mille is out for the moment , the next year /decade/.. and perhaps this lifetime too... Maybe some Day I will earn enough $$ in a DAY to be able to affiord these babies..

Awesome Looking Fellows!!
