It sure looks temptin, doesnt it, its worth that money since it has "MONSTER" Cable, i.e., you will get unmatched and ultimate quality. But somehow i dont trust ebay. Y dont u get someone to bring one for you from abroad??? And besides just an AUX cable, i dont think is such a hard thing to find,....try out Planet M or Music World, ask em , they might help. Or you could even try some hardware gizmo shops, u know the place where u got ur ipod, y dont u try out bose equipment, they are the best in their class. www.boseindia.com

dude we r discussing ipods...not the loudest car

since the old gen ipods have been discontinued(the 20gb and 40gb ones) and have been replaced with nanos, can i still get the old ipods anywhere in noida/delhi cos im not too keen on buying a nano.a couple of friends have faced a lot of problems with the nano and were happier with their old ipods.
i wudnt even mind considering a used option!!

got my ipod nano

got my hands on the ipod nano...
and man i was shocked to see the size but yes it is fragile to scratches!!!
and i will recommend not to go for those trendy silicon covers that come as extra accesories from apple store...they will stick to the pod an the corners will go black especially for the white nano!!
dont ask me the price i got it as a gift just my luck i wud say!!
someone out there loves me!

You can buy a 30gb or 60gb iPod video. These rent as small/fragile as the nano since they have hard drives, not flash memory.

Ipod connectivity to Alpine

Hey guys. Please tell me how to connect my Alpine 9830 HU to my Ipod Video(5th Generation-5G model).
I already have a FM Transmitter, but the sound quality is really really bad through that wireless FM/Radio connection..I would prefer a direct cable or something..
Hope to get a few responses !..

The KCA420i is available in Mumbai. The 9830 has some limietions when used with an Ipod. In fact most HUs have some limitations.

1. the display only displays the current song
2. the scroll is awfull slow
3. Usiing most HUs to switch playlists and artist or albums is a chore.

what the Ipod cables really do...(vs other modes of connectivity).

a) Good quality sound from the line out socket of the ipod (this is better than the headphone socket)
b) allows you to FF or FR from the current song to the next or previous song
c) some limited scrolling given the slow scroll speeds
d) will diaplay ID3 tag of CURRENT song on HU.

I am posting this not to disuade you (I got Ipod connectors for all 3 alpines in my family) but only to temper your expectations.

Apple Computer has partnered with Ford Motor, General Motors, and Mazda Motor to help drivers integrate their iPods into their cars' audio systems.
Owners of Ford, Mazda and GM cars who want to take their iPods on the road may no longer have to worry about purchasing quirky add-ons like the iTrip or chargers that plug into cigarette lighters. Apple announced on Thursday that it has teamed up with the three car companies to incorporate "seamless integration" into new 2007 models that will let iPods be controlled within cars' audio systems and charged whenever the ignition is on.

Ipod Help

Hey guys i have a 30gb iPod Video and dont know as to on which format should i import my songs and at what bit rate in such a way that i i neither compromise on sound quality nor on size of the song.(Because my friend has a similar Ipod to mine and i noticed that the bigger the size the more juice the battery ate.Its also mentioned on http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipods.html under "Minimize your Memory(Use compressed songs)"
Let me know.Cheers

larger files sizes usually have better quality. I suggest you experiemnt with the quality you are happy with. I would also suggest using VBR compression instead of CBR. I believe it offers a better quality-size ratio than CBR.
