As you have Boston coaxials at the rear already, why don't you just add Boston components of the same series in the front? That'll match your current sound setup and tastes.
Now, the question is do you like the way your current speakers sound? If you think it's too treblish (with flat settings on HU), then consider going to a different make/brand/series.

Zaks i purchased this car just yesterday, it had these Boston speakers pre installed the previous owner took his whole ICE setup, but i managed to get these rear speakers from him, i am still not sure how these sound. I am getting my 4050 HU installed right now, will check the sound of the existing speakers, and make a decision.
but what do you guys think about EFX as a Brand, do they make good component speakers?

Congrats!! The EFX 6x9 perform pretty well (yes I used to be a 6x9 speaker wallah). Have heard good things about their components also. Lots of T-Bhpians running them you can check it out if you search this section.

B&T and others who may have listened to both - how would you describe the sound from these sets relative to each other?
Iv heard the Electra's on occasion but not for extended periods of time(i.e : days/weeks)

The Lucies on the other hand I think I can comment upon. Left alone they are very natural sounding, vocals are crisp and instruments come alive. Someone with musical tastes will appreciate what these drivers do. At times they can get low down and very nasty for genre's like house.

My settings are flat with the cutoff at 80hz.

Honestly speaking in a blind test Id probably never be able to tell the difference between the lucies / electras. So maybe the Electra's are equally good performers with a little less glamour!

Baaki tech specs will be handled by our Guru's.

Sorry for derailing the thread.

Have used EFX components and they are good for house stuff and not really good at mid bass. In a SQ system its a weak link.

If somebody is looking for good midbass, midrange and mild highs in a sub 10k component system, try auditioning the Rainbow SLX series. These are very good/excellent/outstanding when it comes to midbass and midrange if paired to a good HU.

But a word of caution here. They are not very aggressive on midlows and highs. So, if you are a true blue fan of hard rock, house, hiphop etc.. there are chances that you won't like them because as I see it, they're a bit mellowish and lacks anger/harshness/in your face attitude sometimes required in these kinda music. It all depends on taste.

For me, I'm in seventh colour of the rainbow! Simply love them.

Hi any reviews on the JBL power series p660c? I like rock and bollwood music, and am running a pair of polks 691 6X9 at the rear, will this be able to match up to them. Am currently running EFX compd upfront, but they are not able to keep up, and am getting no front soundstage

Sorry for hijacking your thread Nishant..

Guys, can someone help me on Pioneer TS-C160R compos? Like how they sound and which compos would be better in the same price range (7.5K)? I just want a general opinion, not going too deep into "listening preferences"!!
