:P i was planning on this for long, but was busy and lazy all this while. Am not that crazy to compare my puny ice to twins's !!!

Coming back to the discussion, i will do as Navin has suggested.

Meanwhile suggest the AMP and wiring configuration, what should drive what? So that i will have some idea when i go to an intaller.

there a number of 4ch. amps available for 7-8K. Pio, JBL, Blau, Kenwood etc all make one. use 2 ch. to drive your front speakers and 2 for the sub.

thank you this is what i was looking for.

So my plan for now:

Rewire the whole system, proper speaker wires for rear ovals included.
Connect rear to HU. Also mask the rear speaker cages.
Plug in 4 channel amp, plug front to 2 channels and sub to the other two.

First and foremost i need to see if the 8" will sit in the shelf.. hmm wish me luck.

There must be something in the air today: First Navin goes "Dhoom macha-de Dhoom" in Hindi and then Sam goes "Thumba_Low_Bass_Maadi" in Kannada!

For a perfect wife you do not need any ICE just ice (and lots of it).

If you want a JBL amp, sub and speakers and are on a budget (leaving more to spend on diamonds and wine for your perfect wife) the GT5 series is what you should consider.

Sorry for putting this to 2 places, looks like Sam is really busy in his Germany trip.
Bought JBL GTO1260BR along with GTO301.1 and getting it done in next 10 days(going out of town). Still its huge pack is not opened .
One question for Sam, is it 4 oms and single coil woofer or can we change the impedence if its dual one.
BTW Sam seen in US JBL site that the existing GTO series Amps are available with Mark 2 name like GTO 75.4 Mark2, GTO 301.1 Mark2 etc so they going to get launched in India too?

They are not even a year old and yes when I decrease the bass to - they do stop creating those sounds. They are connected to a CS 60.4, HP.

if this is true then it cant be the surounds.
check if the speaker is disturbing something else. the source of the rattle is something that is loose but is being disturbed when the speaker is on.
