What is the cost of these speakers Zak? I haven't heard Hertz yet, except the ones in Viper's car and I found them to be too bright but Viper mentioned that the setup connections were not right and the system needs to be sorted out. Will listen to them again once the issues are sorted.

Cheers.

the main problem I feel is the 6 set of speakers in your Dicor. two in the front two in the rear door and two 6x9 in the boot.

I would recommend to drop the 6x9 completely. Put good component kit in the front first. and get a second amp for the sub and run the component through the sony amp and tune it.

If you feel that you need speakers in the rear door then put them there also.

The ESK165s (2-way 6.5"comps) run to 9100/-

The brightness can be tamed well at the XO level itself. The flat setting is quite ok, and the -3db setting drops the brightness quite a bit.

Yes you can sell them there is a good market section on the forum..

I suggest that first get one pair listen to it if you like the sound leave it or get another pair.

Ya second amp for the sub is required as the sony is not capable of the same.

Ya you can drop to faridabad for the same...

Hey, i got a Pio 6950 IB HU for my matiz a few days back. I hav a pir of blaupunkt 6X9's at the back and a pair of crappy 4" speakers at the front. the speakers are from an earlier install. The problem is that the sound quality is PATHETIC! even after playing around with the eq for days, im still not happy, either there is too much boomy bass(i like bass but this is just a boom) or it gets totally flat. Vocals are not produced properly. Is this due to the front speakers?? Im plannin to change them, but will something bigger than a 4" fit in there?? and what would be the best EQ setting?? Help!

Play the 6x9 alone and the the crappy 4 incher to check that who is at fault.

then decide which you plan to change...

first listen to it flat but if you dont feel right then about +1 or -1 setting is ok but not more than that.

with a spacer a 5" an fit in the same location the boom is becuase the 6x9 are ink free air and might not be using a MDF rear deck so first see if teh situation improves with a MDF rear deck (MDF is Medium Density Fiberwoood and a 25mm thick MDF rear deck is much stiffer and less prone to rattle than the thin board that is used).

Hi experts - sorry if this has been asked before..

What would be the ideal choice for the Palio Stile Sports 1.6. The car comes with 6 speaker wirings. Sadly the bigger speakers cannot be accomodated unless one cuts the tray and fits it there. So GTO 937 is out of question for me. Please suggest a setup. Only speakers, no amps required as I need the space behind the seats and also i all the speaker should fit in the factory given slots

Thanks

Go for 6.5" 2-Way component speakers for the front and 5.25" coaxials as rear speakers.

A nice config would be having a component pair in each door and a subwoofer in the back for the bass driven by a 4ch. amd a monoblock amp respectively. However you would need to consider a budget of about 40K for all of this.

Components: 6K each (12K for 2 pairs)
Sub: 8K
Amps: 1 4ch. and 1 monoblock: 20K

In addition to this you would need about 10K for damping and wires.

If this is too much you should first start with the front speakers (if you sit in the front), add the 4ch. amp then the sub, and finally the monoblokc and second set of speakers - the present Sony speakers (without the TS20) can beused in the rear door till they are replaced.

Cheappo solution for the Civic.

Gurus, what is the cheapest way to make the stock Civic HU sound good? Will not go overboard! Thinking of 6.5 components in the front stock location and 6" co-axials in the rear stock location. Which type of amp should be used? I have a JBL BTX 250 Bass tube and want to use that as well. How do I go about it? Thanks all in advance.
