"Rate of change of position" for my HO

In Physics, Rate of change of position is called "Velocity".

When your Mid basses are rated at 160w rms, you surely need good power to move them.

Welcome to the Blaupunkt Velocity Vpa 2140 Pro, This will be the Amp i am planning to power the Mid basses with.

Key Specs:
150W rms x 2 @ 4 ohms
500w rms x 1 @ 4 ohms (bridged)
SNR: >100 db
THD: <0.02% @ 1 khz
Frequency Response: 10-40000 Hz
Variable HPF (40-450 Hz) / LPF (65-4500 Hz)
Slope: 6/12 db for both HPF and LPF
Gold plated RCA Jacks

Here are the pics;

Brands dont matter always. Velocity Pro's series are Blaupunkt's top of the line products. And specs are quite impressive. Even if it performs to 3/4th the stated potential, i ll still be happy

Mi10

i have compared Blaupunkt GT MKII , GTA 280 ,VA 475 and THA 475 i didn't find any difference in sound .. the only difference was power ratings .. But no doubt blaupunkt make good amps .. But still RF are better IMHO ...

Its better you try it and let us know !!!

happy listening !!

Ya bro what you say might be true.

As a Stand alone product, in terms of power delivery and build quality, RF is leagues better than any Blaupunkt i've heard of.
But the SNR ratio for RF are just about 85 db making them very good for Sub woofer and certain Mid Bass applications

I anyway have both Amps, will check both and use the one which i feel sounds better.

Eclipse CD7200 MK II
Pioneer P880 RS
Alpine CDA-117

And one among the above is mine now

I would vote for the Nak. It's outlandish and rare, just like the other stuff in your ICE ;-)

Since budget was not a concern and since I am sure you want USB and MP3 playback I think it will be the big daddy p99. Cmon now out with it.

I like the fact that is plays lossless. Many of us (incoluding me) use MP3s in the car (wit good reason). Lossy MP3s are the weakest link in most of our systems. Going lossless strengthens/eliminates this weakest link and you still retain IDV3 tags. It's like having Foobar in your car!
