My lovely Red i10 - She almost went away. not just once, but on 3 whole instances.
Somehow it refuses to go out of the Family, citing one reason or the other.
Finally, I or ather 'we' decided to keep it with us - so as a way to celebrate this, i have planned a all new ICE (ANICE) lol..setup for her.
andonly one equipment from my earlier list stays with her (for now
)
Reason ? My earlier setup somehow bent towrards SPL than SQ.
Except for the HU all other equipments has the legacy of a SPL Brand.
Take for example my Superb RF Amps, as they beat every driver to its death with unassuming simplicity. They were compact yet Brutal. Esp, the PuNch P-300, really knocked the senses of the Hertz Coaxials.
THe Speakers - Hertz Energy, true to their name had so much energy in the that they used to sing at top of thier voices every time i raise the volume. So loud they were that, at 40% volume you still can hear it outside the car in Traffic!!! and Remember my Font Doors Damped.
Now to the Sub stage. If there is anyother thing on earth (at that price point) that is so bulky, so huge and so ugly, yet emitting tons of raw unadultered force, then its got to be the GZRW XD-AL. Driven with another bulky, huge ad powerful R500-1, they use to produce some nasty virations all they way from the rear boot ld, on top of the roof, to the A-Pillar, down the Gear knob and terminiating in the Clutch Pedal !!!
Poor Kenwood X693 was the only soul (apart from me) who was actually trying to get some SQ in the whole setup. Nothing really bad about the HU, except that it has its limitations if one wanted to go Fully Active. Superb Display is to die for, Excellent Mid range and Higher frequency reproduction. Mild and soothing bass. THey were really wonderful.
So here i stand with my next goal of going fully active and still trying to achieve my desired SQ level.
With this objective, my pursuit restarts. However unlike last time, the 'Budget' part is going for a toss.
As time moves, i ll be sharing with you my new equipment list, and i trust & hope to live up to your expectations (if, any)
Watch out for this thread, its that time of the year, once again...
