The 9400 is a B7R. So we are in the wrong topic...

Anyways, the door on the right is an emergency exit. I am not sure as to how it works, or how it is inside the bus. Will get pics soon.

Here you go.... (Pics Attached).

I checked one such bus with a door. There are seats at the place where the door is located. However, one can slide out of the door using the space between the seats. I am not sure if the floor around the seat could be pulled out in case of an accident.

There is no way the speed will increase with the size, more over it will take more time to negotiate through towns and cities. It is only the additional space in the bus, and may be a slightly better ride for rear passengers.

I want to see a Toilet (similar to the one in a aircraft) in a volvo bus
This would be a boon for a long distance travels via bus especially
for female, child and senior citizens.

Generally with buses with middle doors, there would be a toilet and the steps going down for the door to open.

This bus done for ShahRukh has everything under the sun in it from a lounge, study to a gym, and a bedroom. The top portion of bus expands sideways just like the some of the buses or motorhomes we see abroad. I have seen interior pictures. Awesome is the word.

Safety Measure in Volvo Buses

I used to frequently travel from Pune to Nagpur by volvo buses. While coming back i got seats A & B (they are just behind the co driver seat) in a new B9R coach. I was wearing the Seat belt (its only for 1st row passengers) but was pushed ahead whenever brakes where applied. Also there is only a windshield which separates the driver and outer environment.

Apart from EBD, Are there any other safety features for passengers/driver in bus and how much these buses are safe in case of head on collision?
